Hi Folks!
I had a 2 level lurabar fusion on 6/30/10 and i have a few questions. I think i'm doing really well and I want to do the most I can do to make this a successful procedure but I'm confused about some things.

I wear a brace all the time except for sleeping and bathroom activities. I'm up and around and cook and do some other activities keeping in mind my body mechanics and keeping my shoulders over my toes all the time.

So here are my questions:

1. When it's time for me to rest, is it ok to sit in my bed without the brace or should i only lay down w/out my brace? And is sitting a true resting position for my back?

2. I'm an admin assistant so i don't have any physical demanRAB except for passing papers from place to place! How do i know when it is ok to go back to work? my doc has left it up to me. He will let me go back part time but I'm getting the feeling from work they only want me to come back when i have no restrictions and can go back full time. Has anyone run into that with their work? My husband thinks that the problem is, if i go back to work part time on short term disability and get injured the company could be held liable. Is that the case? If you can't go back part time, how can you ease back into work? I just don't understand... what if i do go back and find that I cannot sit long enough to do my job???

Thanks for reading everyone. Responses are greatly appreciated!!!
