I`am actually on the look out for some decent Sci-fi myself....The film..."Last Night" was reviewed by a RAB member a few weeks ago....They rated it highly but unfortunately it`s only available for use on North American DVD players.....Sadly I no longer have a multi region player...but if you do then this film is apparently pretty good.
I`am sure you`v already seen it....But how about Steven Spielberg's "Taken".
Now these two are`t Sci fi per say.....but have you seen:-
1-The Dish......a film about the tracking station in Australia that received the first TV images of the Apollo 11 landing and subsequent Moon walk by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. It`s not a documentary but a fictional story based on the lives of those who manned the station and the people of Parks where the radio telescope is based......Excellent film 9/10
2-Shadow of The Moon.....Award wining documentary by Film4.....based on interviews with the only surviving Moon Walkers....with the exception of Neil Armstrong...who as per usual declined to be interviewed.....10/10
I watched this again over the weekend - for the umpteenth time - one of my all-time faves.
I was prompted to watch again after I found online - and made - paper-models of the 3 little drone robots, Huey, Dewey, and Louie.
Here they are playing poker on my cutting mat http://i40.tinypic.com/53203n.jpg
