Recommend me a teen film?

Thank God for that.

I recommend Sixteen Candles, Say Anything, Some Kind Of Wonderful, Empire RecorRAB, Can't Hardly Wait, Lucas National Lampoons Vacation or European Vacation.

If you're looking for teen-action (not the sex kind) rather than comedy/dramedy go for something like Red Dawn, Taps, Youngblood or Gotcha!- they'll kill time nicely.
 
Mean Girls - boys and girls both love it, but for different reasons - not too girly at all - everyone should see it, it is my favourite film ever

It's not a classic by any stretch but if you're looking for a bit of a laugh, a bit of action, a bit of sexiness then you might like it.
 
Clueless and 13 Going on 30 I would consider teen movies.
Dead Poets Society - not really but maybe at a stretch as it has teenagers in it, but I'd say drama.
But Lord Of the Rings a teen movie? I think that's pushing it.
It's like when someone else earlier on in the thread suggested The Wicker Man!
 
I watched Dead Poets Society when I was a teenager, and Loved it!! I was about 14! I guess it depenRAB what age teenager.

It has alot of teen issues, fitting in, starting to date, being self-conscious, trying to find out who you are, stress from parents etc, and following your dreams, personally I think it's very relevant to growing up.

As regarRAB LOTR, I also think that's for teens, and children. Many people I work with their children of 8 know them all off by heart. Its the age old story of good versus evil.
 
I understand what you're saying but I don't think they can be put in the genre of the teen movie just because teens can watch them or are in them.

I saw Dead Poets Society as a teenager too (and also loved it - still do), but I still don't think it really fits in the category.

Also, if your theory for LOTR is tested further then that would makes Star Wars a teen movie - or any of the James Bond films!

To most people, teen movies are things like Ferris Bueller, The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Sixteen Candles, Say Anything, Diner, The Outsiders, TAPS, Risky Business, YoungBlood, Class, Animal House, Bring It On, Can't Hardly Wait, Mean Girls, American Pie (although they're also in the 'gross out comedy' subset IMHO) etc etc
