Recommend a film

Sci-fi.
Contact...Starring Jodie Foster.....13yrs on and still one of my favourite films....Excellent 10/10
Cloverfield....Not normally the sort of film I`d watch....but I loved it....8/10
Moon/Pitch Black....Moon....a slow burner...Pitch Black...action Sci Fi
Solaris....Starring George Clooney....The thinking mans Sci-fi

Zombie...I know it`s not your cup of tea....but give...
Pontypool a go......There`s no real gore and there are no Zombie`s to be seen except for one short scene and it`s not scary....but it`s tense and a very novel approach to the genre.....original and different....Just take a moment to read a few reviews and you`ll see what I mean....I really rate this film....9/10

Comedy
Shawn of The Dead:D:D.....ok it`s a Zombie film...but it`s really a comedy....and a very funny one at that...11/10:D

Classic
Shakespear In Love....you`v probably seen it on the box...but if not it`s well worth a view....9/10......Likewise Elizebeth...starring Cate Blanchett

The Shepherd.....Starring Angelina Jolie and Matt Damon....saw this on BBC 2 a month or two ago....I was hooked from the off.....It`s about how working for the CIA affected the personal lives of the Agents....a lot better than my very brief description....I promise
Excellent 9/10

We enjoyed Stranger than Fiction, In Bruges and Veronica Guerin. And, though it's aimed at teenagers, Angus, Thongs and Furious Snogging (or similar!) was very enjoyable and felt like a British classic comedy. I'd also recommend My Beautiful Launderette, Prick Up Your Ears, the Little Girl that Lived Down the Lane, the Color Purple, the Page Turner, the Constant Gardener and loaRAB of old black and white films, such as Double Indemnity, Tiger Bay, Taste of Honey, Dead of Night etc. Anything (virtually) with Isabelle Huppert.

Not the "dumbed down" version though. The original. :)

Oh my gosh, yes indeed it is. Love that movie.

Wasnt as fond of that as I thought I would be considering it featured George Clooney.

I can't think of films off the top of my head but rottentomatoes has helped me if I want to have an idea if a film will be good or not and I've searched there for new films in categories that I like.

I got these for the weekend..Saw 5 and 6..The Final Destination..and Baby Sitter..All with bloody violence ..Ohhh..Theres me sleeping with the lights on then. :D
