Recess (1997 - 2003): Scandalous!

The kindergartners were absolutely crazy! :lmao: There was that episode where TJ was captured by them and (temporarily) reverted to a child-like state.

That one YouTube user (Gopi09) may have had his account suspended but there are Recess episodes still popping up on YouTube! I've been watching it the past few days and some of the stuff really alludes to childhood. Plus, the fact that they have a playground hierarchy is what makes the show interesting.

Here's some of my favorite episodes:

YouTube - Recess - The Box
YouTube - Recess _Jinxed
YouTube - Recess_ Bonky Fever
YouTube - Recess - The Experiment

The way Butch tells his story about Joey kissing a girl ["The Experiment"] is freaking hilarious! :rotfl:

"Boys kissing girls, girls kissing boys! And you know what else? We're all gonna like it!" *thunder claps*

I have burned episodes of the show on to a DVD disc. Hopefully when I'm not so tired these days, I might actually pull off on having a marathon of the show.

Hmm...what else to talk about? How about whose the least favorite character out of the whole bunch/.

I liked most of the episodes but I think my top favorites would be either The Story of Whomps ("No giving skin on the wall." :lmao:), First Name Ashley, and The Box.

TJ going crazy in the chalk drawn box was creepy in a good way. Psychological mess up.

I loved this cartoon. I don't remeraber much after the movie, but it's hard to imagine them being any older. I loved the kindergartners. They were adorable.

I loved this show.
T.J had to be my favorite character.
I also shipped T.J with Spinelli.
I loved the movie a lot.
Gus was my second favorite character.
I liked Gus with Gretchen.
My least favorite character had to be Mikey. I understood his none violence rules, but some times it called for it.
I have too many episodes that I love. But my all time favorite one had to be the Valentines Day episode.
But yes, this had to be one of my all time favorite series.

Whose Dabney Coleman?

Anyway, I think it was better if they stopped after the movie. Because the episodes that dealt with them being in fifth grade and when they were depicted as kindergartners was rather boring since majority of the episodes in there did not have the familiar feel of the original series.

The closest it got to have that feel is in the episode where the gang is introduced to a secret lounge hidden underneath the playground that is reserved for fifth and sixth graders.

Ireally really miss this show. It was smart and witty without being preachy. They don't make 'em like this anymore. I would love to see one more season with Dabney Coleman as Pickly.
