P Pinza Guest Aug 3, 2010 #23 Well before you decide it is dead, you have nothing to loose by trying some or all of the diagnostic tests. If you do need another Hard Drive you need the EXACT model for the 5900, if there is just 1 digit difference it will not work, it has to be EXACT.
