Received a summons from capital one's attorney. What do i do?

i received a summons a few weeks ago from capital ones attorney for a $1070 debt from over 4 years ago. I know i owe this money but i currently am just a student with no job. It says i have 30 calender days to write a written response, but i dont know what to write. So i tried to contact the plaintiffs attorney and they said i can set up a payment arrangment but i dont have enough money to even do that. What do i do? do i still write a written response? will i go to court? someone please help i am lost
