Recall

Just got my letter regarding the VR recall. I know a few others out there have mentioned that they have not recieved their roadside assistance cards so for some reason you may not be on the mailing list. If you've never recieved correspondence you may want to follow up on your own and not wait for notification.

Got my recall letter in the mail yesterday as well. Already had the VR replaced once under warranty with an upgraded version of the VR. Sounds like this recall is much more comprehensive than what i've already had done though with the heat shield and modified battery support also being part of this procedure. What's up with the battery support? Anyway, I personally don't mind the recalls, because my bike will be in and out while I wait knowing my dealer. Also it's nice to see Ducati fixing these issues so we don't have to keep dealing with them on our own. Just need to wait for nice weather now to get the bike in!

So the battery support is part of the heat shield huh(or vise versa)? Works for me! Love getting the free upgrades from Ducati. At least my dealer ROCKS, and it won't be a pain in the ass to deal with. Can't say enough good things about MotoCorsa of Portland, Or.!
They even called me last week to inform me of what there holiday hours were going to be just in case I needed anything! Now that's what I call customer service! Thanks Brad!

Got my letter today and I am in a spot. Gonna ship my bike overseas on Tuesday, so there is no way to get it fixed by then. Not to mention the closest dealership is an hour away and I am sure everybody and there mother is tryin to get appointments to get this done. Any help?

There's certainly a dealer nearby wherever you go maybe not close but you do what you gota do. Research the distance if you feel its to far see about getting the parts and DIY. Although Ducati may not warranty your work??? Tough spot you're in. Good luck. Maybe Ducati will give you the parts and allow you to take it to a different Vendor for install by a certified mech. I would still try to get it into your dealer maybe they will make an exception and get you in and out in one day. Where are you off to?

Yeah... were you off to? Your a service man right? If I had a dealership I'd try to squeeze you in due to your situation.
