I am facing a very strange problem. It wasnt happening earlier.

I was having the usual battery parameter problem. I upgraded my firmware to v56 without writing down the previous battery parameters. I found a SL45.blk file on the net (it was put online by one of you guys). I applied it, but not much difference. I didnt mess around with it. All I know that I was able to connect to my mobile using the Battery Sensor Tools and Siemens EEPROM tools, etc.

Now after quite some time I tried fixing my battery parameter problem .... its not connecting to my mobile anymore. Everything else is working ok.. I mean the VKlay is connecting ok, the UNISiemens is connecting to my mobile ok. I am able to download the flash ok.

But whenever I try to use the Sensor or EEPROM tools (or even that little program that enables JAVA on SL45 sets), it doesnt connect. My mobile starts displaying "Service Mode" on the screen, the softwares detect that the mobile is in the station but after 1 or 2 seconds they (softwares) start acting as if they lost connection with the mobile ie. they try connecting again. Whereas my mobile keeps displaying "Service Mode" sign.

I was able to get more details out of SL4X JAVA ACTIVATOR v0.1b (Warlord711). That JAVA ACTIVATOR connects to my mobile then shows a sign 'disconnected' as if it lost connection during initializing mobile... whereas I dont touch the mobile, its there in its station displaying the "Service Mode" sign.

I need to connect to my mobile to fix the battery parameter problem. My mobile always shows full battery but just 2 hours after keeping it on charging for hours, it displays Battery Low and then shuts off. Next time I turn on the mobile it again shows full battery sign.

Please help me connect to my mobile and advise the best battery parameter settings.

Thank You

Undo the JAVA patch or all the patches? I have applied sooo many patches that i think is consuming too much battery energy and causing crashes.

How to increase speed?

Another question.. right now I have applied around 15+ patches on my set. I have v56 firmware on SL45. I wanna go back to primitive stage, ie. I want to remove all the patches and go back to the simple plain v56 stage. How to do it? will reinstalling firmware do the trick ?

Yes... reinstalling firmware makes SL45 be standard one (except you take fullflash backup with patches included of course)

Best would be you flash your original firmware back (I hope you made backup of your phone before starting to use patches) or you use WinSwup update.

Patching does not consume more battery execpt these patches which access Memory card.

I didnt make any backups before applying patches for the first time..

What does WinSwup do? Where to find it ?

hey the firmware thing is not important.. the problem is that Im not able to connect to my mobile using Sensor (or similar) tools. Any help highly appreciated!!

Maybe what sl45vietnam means is to UNDO the patch below (NOT APPLY), so the Sensortool can detect your mobile phone.

hhooo wow it worked!! yes I remember applying that patch, I dont know if that patch made any difference to the speed.

OK now final help.. I've already mentioned what my battery problems are. I dont have a clue how to set the settings in Sensor Tool 1.3. Any help? What do those code words mean (above the text boxes) ? I dont even know if caliberating my battery will fix the problem or its just that my battery is too old (only 1 yr old)

Above is the accurate way to recalibrate your mobilephone's battery. But the problem is no one seems to know about how to make the sensortool to be able to display the VBattDSP value for Siemens x45 and above.

You can also download the BLK files from Drug_Store's database in this forum, and try to apply it to your mobilephone, but the result can't be promised. What I believe is every battery has its own setting. So, it's better for you to measure it yourself.

Whats a digital voltmeter ? is it an equipment or a software ?

I saw some post sometime ago here in this forum. The guy set the parameters for battery that the mobile would always show full battery and will shut-off when the battery is completely dead. This would save the empty battery messages. . . .. makes any sense to you ?

Digital voltmeter is the measuring device used by electrician to measure electronical items (voltage, resistance, and ampere). It's necessary to use a digital one because you need to record the exact value of your battery (empty and fully charged) to be used for the calculation.

As for your question, I think the method can be applied for Ni-Mh battery, because the Ni-Mh battery need to be fully emptied before recharged (that's why there's battery care feature in Siemens x35 and below). But if you use Li-ion battery, it's better not to let the battery to be totally emptied, because this will reduce the lifetime of your Li-ion battery. CMIIW.

Thanks for all your help guys.. I really appreciate it. I think my bro might happen to have that voltmeter.. (he's an 'apocalypse-boy' )

Thanks !
