Royal canin is better than purina for sure but is not that great.

Cost means little with dog food in the end. Sure the real 'crap' is cheap
but much of the so called 'expensive' is crap too. The 'Royal Canin' you
get costs more here than Blue Wilderness.

The BW dry had a recall of a few bags, none sold in my area and they were
very upfront about it all. Royal Canin has had several and are very quiet
about it.

Your version was still being recalled for Melamine in 2007. BW was recalled
by it's own company only once and in Oct 2010 for having a little too much
Vitamin D in one limted run affecting several versions.
