Has anybody seen this?

I'm not going to spoil it, but suffice to say I was a big fan of the first one & I mostly enjoyed this one, although I thought it might end up like any other horror film with its twist to reveal the whole scenario.

All in all, it's well worth a watch if you liked the first one.

Lets hope that the Americans don't ruin things by remaking it, like they did with the first one; the strangely soulless Quarantine.
 
[REC] 2 was ok. I did enjoy it but the movie was fairly lazy in execution (it felt at times like I was watching the first film over again). It had some good moments but I think they could have done a much better job.

There is a Quarantine 2 in the works but the producers have smartly said that the sequel will go in a different direction than [REC]2. There's no release date & no plot has been confirmed.

As for the first Quarantine film, it's almost identical to [REC] (which I though was a great film) - with the obvious exception of the spoken language & actors. The story and scenes and even the sets are identical. You can literally watch "Quarantine" and then go straight into [REC]2 without missing a beat. I enjoyed both, [REC] & Quarantine.

I just don't get the bizarre hatred when one country remakes another country's film. Sure there are bad ones out there. But there are also good ones too. I think some of the hatred are simply a case of jumping on the bandwagon - "since everyone else hates it, I will too". :D

It is impossible to ruin an original film with a remake. That "original" film remains untouched regardless if a remake is good or not.
