rebuilding motor in mazda 323?

Little bit of home work, If the topend lifters are shot, The bottom end bearings will be getting close too, For the time and effort, You would be better getting used motor from the auto wreckers, Then youre not out alot of money. The also if u want a complete new engine, Then that could be done later on. Just save youre self a little bit of money.

i am getting a Mazda 323 and the lifters are shot in it. i know i will be replacing them but i also know the motor will eventually go. i will be paying $500 for the car then parts after. how much would it cost me to get the motor rebuilt.?? and would it be worth it or not?
