ReBoot

I just read the "revival" of ReBoot. It could be awesome. However, I have 2 problems.

1-Who could replace Tony Jay as MegaByte? Tony Jay (R.I.P.) will always be the actor who made MegaByte a very good villain. I think there will be no one who can be as good as him for MegaByte.

2-Also, there's Ian Pearson and Galvin Blair who quit Mainframe. Both were co-creators of it and they made most of the script on the series.

I can't wait to see what will happen in the future.

So basically, it will be more like a spin-off than a continuation. I think it could be a better idea. With the death of Tony Jay, I don't think MegaByte should be played by anyone else.

The problem is we can't bring the old gang either. If the cliffhanger can't be resolved, you can't bring back Bob, Matrix,... unless it's a prequel.

The story should made in the super computer. I always thought that an arc on the super computer should have been made before. We have a lost in the net arc and a lost in the web arc in Season 3. We still didn't have an arc in the super computer.

Tony Jay might've been one of the best parts of the show, but can you really not keep going without him? I kind of hate to play this card, but I doubt he would've wanted the show to cut short just because he was dead.

well there still might be a chance of continuing the series, but first they're doing these films. so if you want them to turn out right then join Heros 2 Zeros and starting tomorrow (july 26) you can vote and rate and blog and chat about what the movies should be like and the designs etc. join at:

I'm partial to 2.0 myself; the stylized designs are neat and the prospect of a new cannon (or verse) that doesn't dillute, change, or otherwise mess with the cannon that I fell in love with is an allure I cannot escape.

Arrival the only pitch that actually kept the essence of ReBoot alive. Plus, it has ALL the original main characters and picks up fairly soon after the hunt. The writer of Arrival is on this forum I go to and has been asking for suggestions. He is the only Writer out of the five that I'm aware is doing that. I think that's smart if we expect to actually get a ReBoot film we want. The writer has already agreed to get rid of the aliens and user interaction, thank god, and will be releasing the second version of his pitch by wednesday (friday at the latest).

Arrival will win. YAY!

If things keep going anything like they already have, it's between Arrival and 2.0 - although right now, that's largely because they're the only two to really bother talking with the fans and show their progress. Things could well change when the next generation of pitches comes up.

I'd say The Last User is out of the game, though.

I first saw Reboot in 1997 here in Puerto rico, spanish dubbed.. From infected to End prog. it ended around September 1998. altough we we're stucked for a while with "The return of the crimsome binome" that was our cliffhanger for a few months.

Anyway, I have most of the episodes on tape.. spanish dubbed.. and I seen in english all episodes before "Infected" since they were never dubbed into spanish.. but I always suspected Reboot had more episodes and always kept the hope that after S3 there would be more eps...

Reboot was a show ahead of his time on times were computers weren't like the ones we have today.. but still it pull it off greatly along with the references/allusions to other shows and movies.

I love "Firewall" it's a complete allusion to Golden eye, specially on the part where the Binome tells Dot and mouse to pay attention. I guess Ian Pearson is a fan of James bond.

You know, i'm glad and all that they are thinking about ReBoot, but being a whole new series is just gonna be disappointing to me, i'm sorry.....to be honest i want Season 1 & 2 to finally come out on dvd with this popularity, we need our proper boxsets finally, even though Universal still has the rights till the end of this year. I cant wait to see how this turn out but i have a feeling it will not meet my expetations, but we'll see.
