ReBoot series getting a new movie

I'm not happy. I loved Reboot but they never finished the original storyline and ended it badly. I want to see a conclusion to that storyline and those character instead of a stupid, pointless reboot.

Seems like they've been talking about this forever. Especially since I live close to Rainmaker and know people who work there. For awhile I just joked that it was never coming, like Duke Nukem Forever. Well it looks like they're pulling a Chinese Democracy and actually going through with it. Nice hearing the game warning again and it looks nice. I wasn't aware that they were rebooting it though( pun not intended ). I did want a conclusion but with Tony Jay passing away a few years ago it seemed like it was a long shot. I'm interested where they are going with this.

Most casual Reboot fans (like me) weren't even aware there was a comic that finished it.

I dunno. I'm mixed.

On one hand, I'm excited that Reboot is coming back and with all the advances made in CGI animation since then, it'll *hopefully* look fantastic.

I wasn't aware there was a comic either; when'd that come out?

For those starved for details, look closely at the buildings. The "lights" are actually ones and zeroes.

I'm not sure what Rainmaker is trying to do here. If they are making new ReBoot why not just finish the story they started?

A reboot of.. well, ReBoot. Marvelous.

I'm also going to have to pass. I loath reboots and unimaginative adaptions, and ReBoot isn't even that old to begin with. They should just put the creativity into a new original property. I would say finish up the original story, but I don't really care that much after such a long time.

Like I said it could also be because it'll be a trilogy of films. A new continuity?
I don't think it's anything to fuss over but that's just me.

I'm just trying to understand the thought process of why they are doing this and why they think its worthwhile to do this and invest money in this.
