Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

I think it just hasn't be updated.

I think it has been mentioned in some magazine that the memory and immortality are linked.

Not to mention, people thought, and they lead us to believe Charles stole her code, when in reality she locked it away in herself, hence why the memories were gone.

So, I believe she is now immortal again.

I think the name Nina, in any of it's many spellings, automatically deems you insane and unstable.

so cute =D.
Zero... don't you know that trying to take a child hostage kind of makes you look like a pedophile?

It just felt like there was so much . . . death here. And granted, I didn't even necessarily care for most of the characters that died or were implied to have died, but I'm still a little sad (and stunned) by the finality of it all.

I will say this though, I refuse to believe Guilford is dead until I am given some form of persuasive confirmation. All we saw was his link being severed, which can easily occur when in such close proximity to such an explosion. And seeing as how he appeared to be at the very edge of the explosion and only his legs (and maybe an arm) were destroyed on screen, I still have hope that he's alive and will reunite with Cornelia soon (yes, I'm an avid Cornelia/Guilford fan).

Speaking of death, for some reason I doubt Nunnally's dead. Maybe Sayako may have died trying to save her, but Nunnally herself . . . I just don't think so.

Anyway, I was thrilled to see Kallen back in action, and even more elated that she gave the Vampire Knight his just deserts. Some may be worried about the seemingly overpoweredness of the modified Guren, but I'm not, because this is Code Geass . . . yes, the new Guren is obviously obscenely advanced, but I guarantee that equally or even more advanced knightmares (Lancelot Albicon?) will take the field soon, and what's more, it feels like all the "aces" of Code Geass stand on roughly equally footing (i.e. it's rare to see one ace absolutely erabarassing another, because their skill levels and mech abilities are usually approximately equal).

As for Lelouch . . . I'm pretty pissed at him at the moment, though I do recognize it's not entirely his fault, but still . . . and it looks like he (along with Suzaku) is going to lose his freaking mind. Man, this can't be good . . .

Wow. What was the point of dragging that out again? Like I said before, this show keeps finding ways to piss off the fans. I REALLY didn't want them to be dead- they took my hope and smashed it!!
Excuse me while I add this to my list of reasons I REALLY dislike this show >_> Good thing I won't be around for a few days so I don't have to think about it.

This show builRAB on the inevitable bleak results that it is turning to. You can see it in parts of the series (The user of Geass is destined to a life of solitude), as well as in the artsy opening foreshadows such as the darkness of clouRAB overshadowing Nunally in one of the openers. These things lead me to expecting something would happen to her, and the testing of Freia in earlier episodes sort of foreshadows it would be a big turning point in the series.

Really, while these things are predictable, it is the dialogue and the characters and how these expected scenarios are played out that make this series so much fun.

I really have to wonder, since none of the merabers (at least the ones with Schneizel) of the OoTBK have actually heard Lelouch's voice, what was the point of playing a voice recording as proof? It really could have been anyone's voice on the tape. In fact, since Zero uses a voice changer, it really shouldn't be that hard for them to reproduce that instead of using a voice none of them have ever heard. Another thing, hey Ougi, not too long ago Viletta was shooting at you. You ever consider that maybe she's manipulating you? Or atleast, can't someone else consider that? And what's going to happen to the rest of the united nations now that Zero is gone and 90% of the OoTBK are satisfied with Japan being returned to them?

Just watched the episode and honestly, I'm feeling kinda speechless at the moment. No other episode of the series has done that, so color me impressed at that anyway. A vain attempt to gather my thoughts:

Glad to see Kallen being back to being kickass, though her being so uber powerful was a bit jarring. I cheered when she killed Luciano, though >.> When she first appeared in front of Lelouch with the wings, my first thought was the first episode of Gundam 00, haha.

Hearing Lelouch repeatedly order Kallen to kill Suzaku was a bit painful. He spent so long trying to get Suzaku on his side. And even when Suzaku betrayed him to the Emperor, he still had some respect for their frienRABhip. And now something completely out of Suzaku's hanRAB causes that. It really broke my heart every time he said "Kill Suzaku" or "Take out Suzaku." It just doesn't seem right after everything.

But along those lines, it was hard to watch Kallen agree so easily. Yes, I know Suzaku was going to use Refrain on her, but he didn't; hell, he let her beat him up and apologized for that. And when she said "I hate you," I didn't think there was a lot of feeling in it. Meh. I hate seeing frienRABhips torn apart as they have been.

Nina, please stop existing. In fact, go back in time and prevent yourself from existing ever, so you won't create the durab borab. That would make things a lot easier. And then we wouldn't have to hear you yelling at Suzaku to fire the thing.

Gah, Rolo. I knew you were a complete jerkwad, but still... planning to kill Nunnally? That is epic fail right there.

I was really proud of Suzaku for not even considering using the borab. And honestly, I don't mind him considering death atonement. He's such a masochist and with the way things have been turning out, it's very in his character. But of course, the durab "Live" Geass had to go off. I just knew this was going to happen. When Suzaku fired the borab, the smile on Schneizel's face sent a shiver down my spine. Yeah, definitely don't like him.

As for Nunnally, I don't think she's dead. She is too important to kill off at this point. Though I do have to wonder how she escaped. But with Lelouch thinking she is, his emotional fall is gaining inertia. He's about to hit, and hit hard.

I'm with Sam; my guess is the betrayal will come from Suzaku. But that could also be wishful thinking. Despite how things are going, I'm still optimistic for a team-up between Suzaku and Lelouch since I don't see any other ending as being satisfying, as Lelouch's is supposed to be. Their frienRABhip was too important to him for that to go unresolved.

Hah, for being speechless, I managed to come up with a fairly long post o.o;;

This episode was a definite change of pace but it was welcome. As was said earlier, Lelouch has always been in control so finally to see him lose it was a bit comforting in that it shows he's human. He even almost resorted to using Refrain, which shows just how upset he was at that point. I'm also glad Kallen slapped some sense into him because he needed it.

The look on Suzaku's face when Nunnally re-declared the Special Administrative Zone was priceless. Apparently she hadn't run that by anyone before her inauguration. I liked the scene after where he was pushing her wheelchair and she reached for his hand for some reassurance that she was doing the right thing.

I also liked how Lelouch said that while Suzaku was his greatest enemy, he also trusted him the most considering Suzaku looking after Nunnally had been what he had wanted during season 1.

The scene with Milly, Shirley, and Rivalz on the roof was so sweet. Lelouch envisioning the whole group was a touching moment and the fact he had tears in his eyes is just another thing to show he hasn't lost that part of himself in all this drama. Loved it.

The final scene with the ships capsizing and Zero appearing in the hanRAB of the Vincent to tell Suzaku that he would cooperate with the Special Administrative Zone gave me chills. Suzaku's expression when Lelouch said that gives me hope there might be some type of reconciliation between the two. I would be the happiest fangirl ever if that were to happen.

My guess is that the world of C is C2's mind. Hello, world of C is named after C2. It would explain the ep 14 preview, those were C2's memories.
The mags have a picture of C2 as a kid so maybe we will see that this eppy.
Heres hoping for the long awaited development of C2.

From 2chan:

What the beep is Kallen wearing? Is that what I think it is? Yu-Gi-Oh? O.O

Wow, just wow. Fantastic episode. In fact, its my favorite of this season.

My thoughts (lots to say):

So much happened. Obviously the bionic man vs ninja maid was ridiculous but expected in this show by now. More important is shirley's death. I thought it was quite well done. I never really liked shirley but even I felt bad for her. Rolo is going to die for this. And now Lulu has the perfect man/cyborg for the job, Orange-kun to the rescue. I can't believe I just said that.

Can you guys imagine the english dub version. The MAN, Crispin Freeman, is going to be saying Orange-kun's lines in this episode. I can't wait to hear it. Freeman has already done a fantastic ZEEEEERRRRRRRRROOOOOOOO!

And now the plot will be moving along finally like everyone here wants. Next episode is about Zero attack the geass cult and taking V.V. on. After that comes an episode name (paraphrasing) union of nations first resolution. SounRAB like Zero is ready to set his alliance of nations to fight Britannia.

Also, Shirley basically told Susaku to forgive Lelouch. I wonder if he will.

And it seems Cornelia may be rescued by Zero next episode. With Jeremiah on Zeros side maybe they will get Cornelia on their side. I mean, it was an accident that her sister was geassed. And they have a common enemy now in the geass cult. What will Cornelia do, she returned for a reason.

And I loved how Cornelia threw a knife in V.V.'s head and basically said, "You never know what kind of power they might have so you can't hesitate even if they look like a child". Shes still the "witch of Britannia", that's for sure. Though, I wonder, V.V. said he was her uncle as well. Perhaps the theory that the royal family has been bred to have strong geass potential is true after all.

Lots of food for thought this episode. Its my favorite episode of this season. Its got me all excited for next sunday.

And the panty shot of sayoko is more like 1/5 a Second. Really, its impossible to see without going frame by frame. However made that...

Where I'm hoping it'll go is something akin to what GWOtaku says, with a mix of the idea that just because Lelouch is native Britannia he can still empathise and support a foreign nation. That's a better message than "A foreigner can't do good unless they've 'become' one of us". That'd be a hypocritical double standard on something the show keeps pointing out Britannia is wrong to do.

Our true nationality is mankind- H.G. Wells

their not breeding anything, their cratering to what already exists (to make money), and just because some people are entertained by things that you aren't doesn't mean they need "self improvement", which they dont. These "creepy otakus" as you call them just happen to part of the target audience, unlike you, and giving them things to "project their desires on" or whatever is what their suppose to do.
