Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

Check-mate Black Knights. Beautifully done by Schneizel in this episode.

This show is taking some very interesting developments post-Freia disaster. A phenomenal follow-up to last week's episode and I can't wait to see the rest of this series play out. This episode single-handedly renewed all my interested in the series.

It doesn't help that these British people were kicked out of the British Isles in the atb 1800s by Napoleon (whose efforts in the Geass-verse inspired the entire European continent to unite as one nation) and had to relocate their entire capitol to the North American continent.

Clearly that part has already happened and we're now at the stage where Captain Fanservice gets frozen and is sent away forever. Except he's not rescued because no one cares that he's gone.

Man, I can't believe it took me this long to realize the "wings of light" were straight out of Destiny. And it was in the opening song too.

Well, not "straight out" of Destiny but you know what I mean.

87. I'm not a bastard! I swear! He is!

Cute USB. While I'm not a Suzaku fan, it's pretty cool the stuff they make that's geared towarRAB these characters. I'd love to see something for Lelouch.

Dear word, more blatant fanservice, more Ashford students...Geass R2 really feels like a show created by commitee.

I like it for all those reasons.

Any Zero Requiem theories? To recap, mine is that Lelouch wants to end the Britannian line of royalty for good and then basically disappear. Britannia then gets divided up, with all the different territories given a place in the UFN's democracy. Lelouch's goal was to create a scenario where the world would demand an end to the imperial throne as a condition for accepting Britannia. Suzaku, Sayako, Lloyd and Cecile know the truth at a minimum, but in theory they aren't supposed to ever say anything.

Wow, I did not notice that her panties were showing. The scene lasted half a second. How do people spot this stuff. It was a great fight, ninja vs bionic man. How can you not love it. The panties shot wasn't needed but it was still a fun little fight.

Yeah, and the second fandisc ("DVD Magazine II") gave us the information that she's been talking to more than one person (specifically, they hinted at her speaking to at least 3 distinct entities).

So... episode 9.

-The Black Knights have an airship called the Ikaruga, designed by Rakshata. They've also been given their own island to live on by the Chinese Federation. The island, called "Hou-Rai Island", is triangular in shape, with each side only about 20km in length and with a port at every corner.

-We get a glimpse at all the new Black Knight Knightmares. The Akatsukis, the Zangetsu and the Shinkirou.

-Kallen shares an awkward and touching moment with Lelouch where she falls on top of him, they are both blushing erabarrasedly and Lelouch asks her if she'd come back with him to Japan, to Ashford. The moment is ruined by C.C. making a comment about their interaction while eating a slice of pizza and Lelouch asking her how long she's been there.

-Kaguya informs Zero of the arranged marriage between the Tianzi and 1st Prince Odysseus.

-Cut to the pre-wedding party, a bunch of royals are there, as well as Nina, Lloyd, Milly, and Suzaku's little gang. Zero, Kaguya and Kallen crash the party.

-Nina is as psychopathic and racist as ever. Takes it all out on Milly and Kallen.

-Kaguya has a talk with her ol' cousin, Suzaku.

-Gino says that Kallen is not his type, proving once and for all he's not gay but putting into question his taste in women.

-Schneizel and Zero play chess, Schneizel cheats his way to victory (I'm serious).

-On to the wedding, the Tianzi is taken by Zero, he puts a gun to her head, pissing off Xingke. Episode enRAB there.

Edit:-Oh, yeah. Forgot about Orange-kun. He appears with V.V. in a desert, gloating about being the only true enemy for Zero.

There were several hints :P Like, the fact that they were once very happy together, why would she love a man who was crazy if she also wasn't? The moment we knew that there was a connection between her and V.V. it should have been slightly obvious something was up.

*looks at immortality in Geass*

Hmm...perhaps not so far from the truth, after all.

I'm torn between whether she'll escape on her own, or get freed after turn 17. Personally, I'm banking on Suzaku turning toward good by turn 19.

I'm betting Lloyd upgrades Lancelot and Guren the same way since Guren is basically a Britannian mech right now, which is why they will share the same Wings of Light.
