Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

It'd be pretty bad form for the manga to spoil the anime, so hopefully it does stay gone for awhile.

Meh. To me, Charles is plenty threatening without having his own giant robot.

I tend to agree with you. There is no one you can root for. Everyone has their bad unlikeable qualities.

But I am willing to see how this series enRAB, I think there will be some of them will redem themselfs.

Damn you Schneizel, DAMN YOU!

Aw. Poor Cornelia, I really wanted her to be the one who kicks his ass, that is depressing. I am actually kind of happy Villeta is pregnant, now she will survive. C.C.xLelouch scene makes me a happy fanboy. Too bad it looks like she may die next episode, smiling in corabat? Never a good thing, and she does want to die with a smile. Ugh. NO DON'T DIE!

Wow. I've been holding out on some hope that they would work this out in the end but...
Viletta's pregnancy really did it for me. Now my skepticism has increased ten fold
I'll reserve judgment until I get to finally see the episode... But eh... now I feel stupid of ever having any hope that this would end well in the first place.

Most anime shows (at this point in history) that get 10-20% are for children or at best family-oriented, which gives them mainstream appeal but they're usually not the kind of thing most of us would appreciate.

It may continue to be a disappointment for the broadcasters if ratings don't improve...but the worst consequence I can imagine is a change in time slot either one third or halfway through the show, and maybe some animation budget cuts that could be corrected for the DVD release anyways.

Sunrise (and whoever shares those profits) can't possibly want to throw away the kind of DVD and related materials sales season one had, despite its poor ratings because the original show wasn't exactly a TV hit either, so I'm fairly confident the show will live to see its end, one way or another. Even if it fails to get mass appeal, otaku appeal will still bring in money. Not to mention that canceling everything so abruptly will just maximize the losses for everyone involved, while a gentler landing will at least reduce them, if not outright cancel them.

I also hope that the plot doesn't suffer, in any case, whether the schedule changes or remains just as it is.

I'm sorry that my false idealism clashes with everybody else in this thread, but I guess they really did had it coming to them, and maybe I should've been comfortable like all of you were in their deaths.

I must be lost then. My head had it that Milly's family was the same as Lelouch's mothers, hence the reason they helped him and lost their nobility once Lelouch and Nunally lost royal status.

NO, don't listen to the crazy fangirls! Logic has no part in this discussion. We must continue with knee jerk reactions and whining!

Hey, early on we had legitimate reason to believe they knew what they were doing and had shuffled all the goodness off into season 2....then it became obvious it was yet more souless corporate shilling, with character development stopping at 'would they look cute chibified on a cell phone strap?'

I had my doubts going in but I don't think anyone would have guessed they'd botch a second season like this.

Talking Suzaku and Lelouch plushies...I can hear Caitlin and Sam squeeing already.

(And we already knew, but nice to see the SEED Club artist is still in work)
