Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

That's the thing. The Black Knights have their same forces, including the Gurren.

I think it's getting silly. Samurai worked for SD Gundam. Then they tried it with Keroro recently. Seems to have stuck so now we get it with Geass. If this had been a true unique Geass AU it might be worth it.

Me being snide would be "So, Geass...heh heh, man, who watches this crap?"

I'm not doing that. Geass, like most things, falls into me voicing an opinion because I see wasted potential and other issues (eg the seemingly never ending racism debate). I'm not trying to attack anyone or tell them to stop watching.

If he really cared for Lelouch he would have discussed the matter with him first, or maybe its a matter of caring for him too much, and not only being extremely protective but wanting to keep Lulu for himself. He knew that Shirley was close to him, potential threat or not. Maybe it was just Rolo acting impulsively, but he could have tried to detain her using other methoRAB, expecially since I don't think Shirley was ever that physically strong. If anything he should have used his geass to reach Lulu first and then figure out a plan from that.
I guess his whole outlook is kind of sad when you think about it.

At this point i don't even care if Lelouch doesn't get a happy ending, i don't like him anymore, its like he suddenly stopped being a character that's fun to watch (and as the lead, that's a problem).

(none of these people are fun to watch anymore)

I think he does hide it. Suzaku killed his father, believing it would prevent a bloody conflict between Japan and Britannia. However, the reality that created isn't much better. Suzaku never openly admits this, hiding behind the notion that the system can work. I think early on he more half heartedly believed that but Euphie really allowed him to put his heart in it and that just made things worse. He will hear nothing bad of Euphy but will very quickly assume the worst about Lelouch. He keeps stating the system can work, no matter how crooked and corrupt it shows itself to be. Further, I believe he's stated that he doesn't really care about the rest of the world and will be fine being made the officially sactioned despot of Japan. Compare that to Lelouch, who's actively trying to free as many countries as possible. Suzaku is just a petty little boy, hiding behind the traditions of the status quo and an unhealthy obsession with a dead woman. He refuses to step back for five seconRAB and go "Maybe I was wrong...". He just keeps charging on ahead and ignoring the factors that legitametly challenge his view of reality. Even if it was just for half an episode, I'd be amused to see him stripped of his rank and thrown back into one of the Eleven ghettos. Wonder how long he'd last then.

Fllay wasn't hot. D: Her batshit craziness trumped her "hotness" making her not hot. >.>

Plus Kira actually got Lacus, while Lulu may not get C.C. and they may be related in some freaked up way. o.o; Who knows! Oh god Sunrise. Why do you do this to us? Why?!

To be fair, so far on the dub, Nunnally hasn't had any dramatic or important roles yet. At least that is way I see it. But I agree with your point, the english Nunnally hasn't impressed me. Most of the cast as done a good job keeping the true spirit of the characters in tact. I expect Johnny, Yuri, and Karen to give a great preformance in the final scene of R1.

I hate to second guess, Kari would have been great as Nunnally if they choose to go in that direction.

For one fleeting, terrifying moment, I actually took that seriously. Whew, that's a relief.

Yeah...

I don't really mind the "biker's seat" and such, but its hard to ignore how Knightmares get used as an excuse to get ass shots of Kallen. They don't have to draw at those angles, but they do. I can guess what the future of the lady trio from the OP will be.

Haven't made it to the rebuttal you linked to yet, but here's a bit from me. He touches on some interesting issues, such as LuLu possibly being a divine emperor of sorts in the making. I hadn't thought of it quite that way, and I think it'd be a tragedy if it turned out that way. That kind of treatment corabined with LeLouch's skill at manipulation would probably lead to my idea of the worst possible Geass ending, which is LeLouch turning into what his father is.

On the bright side this divine ruler concept is unsurprisingly absent in Geass, it has to be. And it seems to me too many in the inner circle know the truth of LeLouch the man for such a myth to be established. LeLouch also hasn't shown himself terribly interested in Diethard's fanatical vision of him; at best, just like with Rollo, he lets a delusion stand because it leaRAB the holder of the delusion to serve his interests.

Also, I feel he's reaching in his points about Li and Cornelia. Li participating in a military coup alone proves his Japanese "sameness"? Really? He and his allies intervened on behalf of the Empress and against the corrupt ministers that were ready to abandon the country in order to secure their own positions. As I see it loyalty to the Empress is loyalty to China here, child or not, though of course Li also has personal reasons.

On Cornelia, he correctly notes that she's the closest we get to a powerful and independent woman in Geass. Why doesn't that count simply because of LeLouch's "victory"? Strong and independent people can't ever lose? And its an even more moot point considering that LeLouch finRAB ways to outsmart everyone.

and a hundred years from now after some dictator is conspiring to ruin the world the original Zero, Lelouch, returns to make things right...

If Sunrise is hard up for $$$ that is

Giant ? mark from me to.

Team-up what? D: The directors jumped so high over that darned shark. I mean.. Marianne evil all along? Well... not evil, just misguided like Charles I guess. Suzaku and Lelouch "teaming up" was cool, but I dunno. Somehow it feels too good to be true. I mean what if Suzaku is serving Lelouch just because he has to? Then again, by the end of the episode, they may have forgiven each other based on what Suzaku witnessed in the World of C. All I have to say is Sunrise threw a giant monkey wrench into this story. I mean.. the director had to be high when he came up with the majority of this, rofl.

Now we get to speculate for a week about who's going to join Schneizel, and who's going to join Lelouch. xD

That would be cool to see.

In the scenero, a great day job or cover job for Lelouch to have is history teacher, where he would have to reminded of the great hero Zero and how he defeated the evil tyrant Lelouch.

I hope in the end, Lelouch does redem his legacy. 100 years enough time would have passed for that possibility to happen.

You talking about them doing a recast for R2?

I have nothing against Rebecca Forstadt but her Nunnully is just bad. It is just so obviously forced and fake that I cringe whenever I hear her speak. To paraphase a Geass parody, Nunnully's voice is supposed to be so sweet you get diabetes. Forstadt sounRAB like a middle-aged woman mocking a child's voice.

Really, Wahlgren or Melissa Fahn would have gotten the part down.

..........................
nmdka.kasdj. They KILLED LELOUCH!? No,no, let me get this straight, he planned to have himself killed? The
fact that everybody goes on to be happily ever after makes me ever more sour because most of them don't even deserve it. I am beyond all logic at this point. I hate arabiguous endings. I hate nonclosure. I hate it when they throw you something but then leave hints to expect something else. Is he or isn't he dead? What ever happened to being straight forward. Not to mention I definitely called it. Lelouch would be a common enemy, he'll bring peace through death.

Yeah, SCREW Code Geass.

I'll post my reactions on the episode part by part later. For now I'm going to go kick stuff and continue to cry, because hell- that was pretty damn sad and yeah, I totally bawled like a child. The ending, while I don't like the arabiguity, was beautiful. It was beautiful in how it was done, but not the actions that took place. I think with out that song they played the impact wouldn't have been as large. I am in awe to be honest.I wasn't expecting that in the least.

Edit?
After reading some theories and discussing it over with people, I think I'm going to go with the masses and believe that Lelouch is alive and driving the cart. I'd rather do that than be angry the entire day, and it makes sense when you think about it considering CC is shown being happy.
Also, considering the events of this episode, can somebody repost a picture of that character map, or a link to it? I'm curious to see if they've change anything.

Yes, how dare we be disgusted that a female character (one who previously had been shown as strong and respectful no less) has been turned into meat to drool over and her character arc akin to a hentai doujinshi. Where do we get off?

Seriously, try thinking with the brain in your head for a change.

I never actually thought he was a good guy, but the way he carried himself throughout the entire series was so... remarkably odd that I could not really put my finger on him and whether I liked or disliked him.

Wait, she lives? How do you know?

Lelouch could tell what type of person Schneizel was from the start. Hes a Machiavellian Prince: publicly he is above reproach but privately he is more than willing to do immoral things in order to achieve his goals. So he is the type that smiles and seems very kind when in fact he is Amoral. You can tell from that smirk he had on when the borab went off over Toyko. Definitely a "just as planned" smirk.

Lol. Your answer made me laugh Blue, I have no idea why, the "considerably larger" part did it lol.

Warning: In the spoiler is an image of a particular character. If you don't want to be spoiled. DON'T LOOK!

Chibi C.C.!

Oh and I absolutely LOVE "World's End" it is just, I don't know, it makes me want to do something proactive. The OP is great also, the images are very nice.
