Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

*actually likes Jinn alot* >_<
I really, really, adored their OP for Blood+ - it's one of my favorite and most listened to. I've had that song in the link above on my Ipod for quite some time now ^_^

I stand corrected, the proper turn 09 preview (with the
LelouchXKallen "kiss"
) did not actually air on TV, it's being distributed through the mobile phone version of the rabS's website. I'll probably post the video when someone YouTubes it.

The thing is, I think the scientists were complicit in Britannia's activities, so the argument can be made that they were asking for it. The really serious moral problem lies with the Geass-empowered children, who were just being used. Now Geass was being used to fight back in that one scene so maybe there was no choice, but was that universally true? What's more, given Jeremiah's Geass Canceler, it could've been possible to subdue them. Of course, true to form Rolo just kills them all, threat or not.

Probably. They're still considered the world's one super power, it just means the rebellion has gotten...considerably larger.

Episodes 15 and 16 sound really interesting to me, I can't wait for those to get here.

On the topic of the ending, I wouldn't mind the ending just giving us the final battle and a few minutes after that, with Lelouch and his union ready to rebuild the world. We don't need to see how that world enRAB up since it's assumed that everyone will be working for the greater good at this point.

Mmm, very true. I think it can work out, though that doesn't mean fans will necessarily get the ending that they're hoping for. Not in terms of quality, just in terms of what people want to happen. I honestly don't know.

About Nina--In the translation I saw it isn't that Nina is hated for creating the FREIJA borab, but rather that she is "targeted" by several nations. I think that she's sought after for her expertise, which would be pretty realistic quite frankly.

Speaking of which, this seems like the right time to throw my once-mentioned Nina theory out there:

Schneizel claims he's gathered the FREIJA warheaRAB, correct? Furthermore we will have this "Damocles" thing that is armed with them, so it'll be a threat to the whole world.

Schneizel will overplay his hand or at least threaten to, prompting Nina to help Lloyd make another FREIJA borab for Lelouch. Said weapon will be used by Suzaku or Kallen to destroy Schneizel's little base, thereby saving millions of lives and getting rid of all known FREIJA weapons in the process.

Assuming Geass doesn't go Tomino on us, that would be as good a redemption as Nina can hope for probably.

I only use Drugzaku because a blog used it and I find the name hilarious. I understand Susaku but I just like to hate him becuase hating is fun.

First time I have screamed at the screen "You traitorous motherf*****."

I am glad Kallen heard Lelouch say that because she would have been completely heartbroken if she truly believed Lelouch thought it was all a game.

Oh noes, C.C. is alone.

These...are not tears coming out of my eyes...I've just got something stuck in my eye that's all...I mean, I hated Rolo...Yeah...what a jerk...I...(sniff)...Oh man, i think I need a minute...

(I don't really want to have a debate over a picture but considering Kallens been nothing but some kind of jail bait for the past few episodes...)

She might have a large chest but the picture clearly accentuates it in a sexual way. The straps weren't laying across her cleavage so there was no reason to puff it up as if they were. I read yaoi-(regardless of the fact that it involves men not women) i've seen 'bondage fan service' -that is definitely it in this case. I can tell you right now the female chest doesn't look like that unless it's found in a hentai.

On the contrary, I don't like Sherily because I can't stand her personality. However, having a good personality won't chance the fact that an ugly girl is ugly. And thats why I love Cornelia great looks and the personality that befits a queen.

Beside, we all know you like ugly girls but not everyone has to as well.

Nina: "Even though she's dead, my beloved Euphemia lives on in heaven. There, her beautiful naked body sits upon a throne made from the collected masses of skulls from the many Elevens she smited *wistful sigh*"

Suzaku: ".....I'm disgusted, but at the same time glad we have you to make me look better by comparison"

any ending that's not a cliffhanger (everything is raped up) and Tamaki survives is enough to satisfy me right now.

with all this sacrificing his own people business Lelouch is pulling i hope he does die, hes no longer a conflicted hero or whatever, hes just an Anti-Villain (if theres any justice in that world he and most other characters will die).

Actually....

There's a slim chance that Lelouch is still alive, going by the final scene.

Also, there's a chance two people understood him, at least. But will need to re-watch in a few hours, for obvious reasons.

All in all, it was a very exciting episode, suffering from the fact too many questions were left up in the air and there was no possible way this could resolve them.

I find Suzaku difficult to like because he's too self righteous. It's like to ignore his own issues he looks down on others. Lelouch made a good point when he said Suzaku didn't really have a right to denounce Zero and the Black Knights when he had already played the part of one person deciding the fate of the country.

Memoirs of a Revolutionary: The Life and Times of Lelouch Lamperouge

Having lost everything I ever held dear, I crawled into the gutter of life. There I developed a taste for young boys. A particular favourite was Rolo, a charming lad who would do nearly anything for a handful of shiny Britannian tender...

That's what makes the issue so confounding--it's nutty, and yet necessary for the Lelouch/Charles contrast to work the way that it does. Right now I'm just glad that this wasn't the ending, as that would have invited countless unfavorable comparisons and analogies. Not to mention that given everything that's happened, Lelouch simply becoming Emperor couldn't be seen as a good ending in and of itself. I mean that both as a good ending and good as in a happy ending. We need closure, and hopefully the ending gives that to us.

Actually, I checked the pic that anime blog has of the scene and your right. I guess I was suffering from lloyd syndrome and didn't notice, all the mecha action was distracting me. Its not my fault, the scene was so short. And yet that's all everyone can talk about.
