Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

I've tried to just ignore this, but I'm having a really hard time. Firstly, "Drugzaku" is a ridiculous name. He threatened Kallen with Refrain then didn't use it and even let Kallen beat on him and apologized. If you're going to allocate a drug-related name to anyone, why not give it to the character that was about to use it on himself in a time of self-pity?

As for the second, calling Suzaku a traitor over using the borab is absolutely ridiculous, considering the "Live" Geass completely overtakes his will. He was willing to die not to use it, after all. I know you don't like him, but at least hate him for accurate reasons.

Anyway, on a completely different topic, I was curious about Charles' plan, so I looked up Ragnarok:Well, well, well...

Well, like I said in my other post, I like this episode a lot. Random Curiosity made it sound like it was a terrible episode when actually its reaffirmed my faith that code geass will end well.

What are you talking about, shirley comes from a rich family like ever one at that private school. Or are you making a bad joke?

And Cornelia does look young which is a good thing becuase it makes her ever more hott. And its both confirm that that is Cornelia and that sayako is a ninja by the bloggers (heres my favorite one):

I fully agree that Suzaku has been acting hypocritical. However, I think it's understandable that he's acting the way he is. While Euphie was helping him deal with his baggage, I don't think she was the entirety of his attempts to atone for his actions. He joined the military in the first place to do that and had already started piloting the Lancelot before he met her. And he was putting himself on the front lines, admittedly in a hope that he might be killed himself. And then Lelouch Geassed him to "Live," and he knows that. I think that knowledge, corabined with the fact he still neeRAB to know about what happened with Euphie will make Suzaku listen. Not to mention, he keeps finding himself acting friendly/protective of Lelouch/Zero before catching himself and not really understanding why he's acting like that. I doubt the conversation will be smooth, but in the end, he knows what he neeRAB to hear and only Lelouch can give him those answers.

At the same time, Lelouch is going to need Suzaku on his side before the end--the hints of teamwork between them we caught glimpses of in season 1 really show that it's going to require them working together to take down something as large as the Empire itself--so is not likely to take no for an answer. It should be interesting to see how it plays out.

On the topic of Suzaku being hypocritical, I don't think he's hiding his guilt at all. Every action he takes seems to me to be motivated by the guilt he feels over the blood on his hanRAB. He's changed from an idealist to a realist. He's acting like a soldier now. It's a lot colder than he was in season 1, but he's been tainted by loss and betrayal, so I would be surprised if he was acting any differently, really. He's not exactly emotionally stable, after all.
I was also noting the chance in colors, and while I don't exactly think Lelouch is deserving of being "white" now, I do think black fits Suzaku because he has been tainted, as mentioned above. But if they were going to move further apart, why bother putting them so close together in the ED? After all, all the other images in the ED had the allied groups together. If they wanted to show a contrast between Lelouch and Suzaku, it could have easily been done without them in the same picture. So I still think it shows a likelihood of them coming together. Not to mention the hints of teamwork we saw between them in season 1; I saw those as a foreshadowing of them coming together to face the biggest conflict in the end since they were practically unbeatable when working together. But I guess we'll see. I'm hopeful this is going to happen so I could just be looking for hints of something that isn't going to happen

Lelouch told me this a few days ago online. I'm not even going to express my anger on this fourm. It involves extreme amounts of obscene cussing and dented wall.
I am very, very pissed.

probably not, shes nowhere near as hot as most other girls (that arent background characters) in this show.

and i like this new girl down here, shes realy hot and looks realy evil, the good kind of evil that makes the plot exiting. Sadly that Odysseus guy (i think) is back, i hate that guy and the little pink haired girl from the knight of rounRAB for some reason.

i bet that the fact she appears at the same time as Cornelia guarantees that they will be mortal enemies, i hope the new girl wins, it seems i like her character already even though all i know about her is that shes obviously evil looking, in a good "make plot exiting" kind of way, and realy hot.

And neither is he. Even if Charles did suddenly turn into a 'justice but on the wrong track' type of fellow, I still wouldn't feel the least bit sorry for him. Rolo was always loyal to Lelouch, and even though his motives were warped, he honestly believed he was doing something right. While he wasn't an innocent, in his state of mind he did what he had to do to keep his brother safe. In that respect, he had an honorable death saving him despite the fact that he wanted to kill Nunally. Charles is just a jackass. He abandoned his son. He's a tyrant, just like Schneizel. Charles isn't ridding the world of evil -he's creating it, and unlike Light who killed criminals, Charles is doing no such thing.

I think the distinction between Britannia's racism and the alleged racism of Geass in terms of Japanese being oppressed and screwed over by outsiders is being lost here.

"Look, Shirley! You be Orihime, I'll be Ichigo!"

I think the clear pattern here is the more goofy the previous episode, the more depressing the following episode will be.

Seriously, what next? "I'm sorry to tell you Lelouch that prolonged use of the Geass has given you terminal cancer. Oh, did you hear Suzaku just won the lottery?"

Nina: "Ugh, the prince's beloved pet dog defiled the carpet. Suzaku, clean it up already"
Suzaku: "What? I'm a Knight of the Round. We have other staff for cleaning duty"
Nina: "It's what Princess Euphemia would have wanted"
Suzaku: "Lancelot Pooper-Scooper Mode, LAUNCHING!!"

It's worth noting that episode 24 is titled "Sky of Damocles." This is a clear reference to classical greek culture and philosophy relating to the Sword of Damocles, much like how the "Sword of Akasha" was a reference to mythology. I would probably be wise to simply direct everyone to Wikipedia on this one.

To whom does this parable apply in Geass? Lelouch? Schneizel? Who, indeed.

I hope nothing happens to her. A few minutes ago I remerabered a book I read waaaay back in, 5th grade or so? It was about making 100 paper cranes and then wishing on them. Maybe her throwing of the crane is more a syrabol of 'hope for the future', 'wish for a better life' instead of 'I'm going to subtly foreshadow my death' D:
