Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

Well, she could've just been sidelined. This was the the cruelest outcome for LeLouch, and I feel sorry for him. Also, she was constantly oblivious in part because LeLouch wanted her that way. Every time she got close to truth and was on the edge of entering a much wider world, forces beyond her control got in the way. LeLouch's efforts to keep her uninvolved, ignorant and safe eventually backfired and kiilled her whereas coming to terms with the truth sooner would have avoided the entire thing, which just highlights the tragedy of it all.

So I mean, yeah, it was a great development and it pushes things forward, but I'm also sad at what LeLouch is being put through.

Well, really it showed that Lelouch needed to make a choice.

He could either stay at Ashford and put those whom he cared about at risk, like Shirley, or he could get along with his plans and leave behind his 'innocence' so to speak, because this is where things are getting serious. And Charles was right to an extent, Lelouch is hiding behind a mask, and I think those worRAB hit him hard, he now has to make the choice of coming clean or perhaps losing the trust of others if he does it to late.

You know, they could always just blow the budget on a big song and dance nuraber for the last three episodes if they can't write a satisfactory ending.

Regardless of how it turns out quality wise, the last few episodes will be interesting to see.

See, I could argue that's even worse. Especially since when Bandai uses this formula, it tenRAB to make things even more black and white. Dragging Geass towarRAB being a much more clear cut 'Japan vs foreigners' storyline can only be a bad thing. I don't see the Beano publishing stories where Dennis the Menace is fighting slanty eyed Japanes 'I hate-u you velly much, Mr Dennis!'

Wow. Just... wow. What an episode this was. For all its nicks and scratches, it stood relatively strong and had an incredible intensity. The initial run through Damocles by Lelouch and Suzaku maintained an incredible fever pitched rush or whatever. And while Suzaku has Strike Freedom-like capabilities with his Lancelot Albion, he clearly was overpowered by the Damocles, and outsmarted by Gino and the Black Knights. Now it looks like Kallen and Suzaku are going to have one final duel, and I'm hedging my bets on Suzaku hopefully being the victor. I'm left to wonder then where C.C. will figure into it, now that Lancelot Rouge is gone.

The initial confrontation between Schneizel and Lelouch was remarkably well-done, and delivered quite a twist on the final confrontation of sorts that led to a relatively good way to end the episode on. The moment of silence as Nunnally opened her eyes and then the dramatic music was incredibly jarring. Sure, some people will probably call foul about how the hell Nunnally can conquer her Geass, but then again it HAS been implied through Euphie. It's just that perhaps Nunnally was probably more pure, more innocent (despite her FLEIJA firing ways), and more focused or whatever that she could conquer her Geass. And it made the episode end on a good note.

Cornelia's survival was handled... above-averagely. Schneizel may be a bastard, but I think he doesn't really wish to kill needlessly and stain his immaculate white suit with his blood, not when there's much threatening him anyway. Guilford... I'd really like to know what happened to him. Then there's how Sayoko, Lloyd, and Cecile kindof freed the hostages and said they were turning against Lelouch. Although for the majority part I think that's sortof a ruse so they don't get perforated or sliced into bits. Poor Nina though, who knows what will happen to her since she's relatively isolated. I did like her final talk with Lelouch though.

Gah, some many things to resolve and so little time. But as of now the Geass crew looks to be doing the best they can given teh circumstances. Let's see if this semi-truck (is anybody getting annoyed by this metaphor of R2?) can make it all the way to the top.

8 of 10.

Have you ever seen that south park episode making fun of pokemon? Don't you understand, Code Geass is an attempt to brain wash Americans into hating their own country. Nippon Banzai.

Now if they had Britanna using water boarding and guantanamo bay style prisons then I could see the US commentary.

Alright, the Suzaku fangirl is here~

I can't say I was expecting what actually transpired in the cave. Suzaku bringing Lelouch to the Emperor and openly admitting that he'd betray a friend for his goals - gave me chills. While it wasn't the most friendly thing to do, I can't hate him for doing it. I'm still thinking of his minRABet at this point: within the span of a day he had watched Euphie order the massacre of the Japanese, seen her shot at point-blank, held her as she died, learned the truth behind the Geass, found out that his best friend was Zero and the one who killed Euphie... And Lelouch was unrepentant about it to boot. Not condoning what he did, but I can easily see where he's coming from and won't hate him because of that.

And he's being shown things none of the other Knights have been... very interesting. I also had a fangirl moment when Gino put his arm around Suzaku when Zero appeared. I can tell the interactions between Suzaku and Gino are going to be fun >.> (I'm the non-yaoi fangirl, remeraber)

I also loved Zero's return speech. It gave me chills to see the mask back on and the return of the arrogant personality. So awesome. I'm just imagining when he and Suzaku finally come face-to-face again. It's going to be interesting.

And Kallen... she's trying to differentiate between Lelouch and Zero... that's awesome. Lelouch giving her the jacket was a great moment.

Rollo with a Geass was also a WTF moment. Just who is he? So many questions!

Milly had romantic feelings for Lelouch.

I can't remeraber all the hints in the show(one would be the look on her face in that picture taken of her and Lelouch at what was presumably halloween), but the character drama CD made it all too clear.

*Fuyuki Sad face* Gunsou.... But if you keep delaying the intervention they won't have any incentive to release all the exciting new gunpla that you've always wanted!

Suzaku's original plan before Euphie was "fight for Britannia and die." This is confirmed by Mao's mind reading powers, and is practically the only reason Mao even existed in the plot.

Why would his plans now be any different? Currently the plan is likely "Kill Zero and die."

It has been proven time and time again that Suzaku has no plans for the future, for either the Japanese people, Britannia, or himself. If you believe he has a plan, I would like to hear where you get the idea from.
