Exactly the decision and mentality I was going for, without all the superfluous bravado.
I hope the ultimate ending is darker then that.
They annoyed me enough with the Gundam Seed Destiny ending when the perfect ending was right there for them.
The Moon weapon actually firing on Orb and destroying 99% of the island (Cagalli included). The show would have ended at the memorial, but this time it would have been a memorial to the entire island of Orb as the camera pans and we see it exists on about 2 or 3 miles of the island which still exists.
An extreme reminder to the dangers of war for all future generations.

I do find it amusing that Gundam 00 got best action but CG gets best shocks. And thats what we all loved Code Geass for, it wasn't the best story and not the best mecha corabat but it certainly was full of twist and turns in the story.
Whats shocking to me is not only did CGR2 win the editors award but also the Readers choice was CGR2. Looks like I wasn't the only one going crazy over CGR2 sundays. Not even close to the only one.
Heck, I don't think I've check Random Curoisty as much over any other series so I'm sure Random Curoisty got a boost in popularity thanks to CGR2.

Haven't watched ep 2 yet. So I wasn't aware of such.
Still, it would be nice to have a ground perspective of an actual britannian city that is part of the empire, most noticeably the capital.

Its more an issue of trying to do too much. You can only blend plot development and the light content so much. It isn't even limited to comedy, the whole depression episode was kind of nice but did they really need to spend a whole episode on it? Personally, I enjoyed the start, episodes 1 and 2 were A-grade. To me though, R2 didn't hit the ground running until the Lelouch's "behold a million zeroes!" trick. Once they got to China, things went from low B range to A level. 12 was mostly a waste, but at least it seems to have ended the Ashford angle for good. And I did like how they sent off Milly at the end. R2's first half demonstrated that there really wasn't room for both Ashford and the rebellion anymore.

Well, see. Geass so does not take itself seriously because thats completly crazy. SounRAB very amusing though so...I must have it.

Something which kinda irks me about the show ending. I wanted to find out what C.C.'s real name was.
If Lelouch did indeed survive and was steering the cart it would have been an awesome time to have him reply to her by her real name and then fade to black

I think we're missing some information here, so I'm willing to wait and see if, for example, Lelouch convinced him that bringing Nunnally back would be a good idea. Rolo fears Nunnally only because he wants to be accepted and not kicked out like the psycho he is, so if Lelouch told him the right thing to make Rolo feel at ease, it could work.
