Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

Ya know.. this story could have another complete twist if Euphie were alive and Suzaku wasn't so crazy with the justice. Euphie could probably work with Lulu to fix things, Shirley wouldn't be dead, people wouldn't go nuts in general.. and happy happy fun time? Yeah... no. That wouldn't be the Geass we've come to love.

Kallen is not in the new OP. CC for the win.

I think I'm starting to like the new OP.

And whats RC?

Oh, random curousity.

The blog is up for the episode already? Must read.....*Runs to blog*

Well... to be more precise, the Knight Digimon. (ie like the ones in the later part of Digimon Frontier)

On closer inspection there is some vague aesthetic similarities, if only just vague.

After watching the episode:

Suzaku: Lets see I've got my own little sister now

Nunally: Huh?!

Suzaku: and now I have a fresh new Euphie who won't kill people! Now my life is complete!

Kallen: Grrr *snaps and him*

Suzaku: don't worry new Euphie uncle charles will take away that nasty dispositon.

XDDD
I do the same, actually. FMP did the whole mecha/war thing so very well. I think Gundam 00 is the only show I've seen since that I can say also stood out in my mind in such a good way...then again both shows have alot in common.

Geass neeRAB a Chidori! I think that might fix a few things...

You know, I've been thinking this for a while but seriously, bigdeath WTF is wrong with you?

(I'm being sarcastic, just letting you know. Get out of my gutter, my head was in there first.)

To clarify on the Orange-kun deal...

Lelouch used that to show that he and Jeremiah may have been talking, and it was to throw some sense of mistrust into his comrades. They use it later on with him as a syrabol of his failure, that's how he kept the name Orange-kun.

And I don't think Marianne had a Geass, I mean, her having one isn't completely out of the picture, but I think he role will be...much bigger. And I'm not so sure she let herself die, or if it was a staged attack. Heck, she may even be immortal like C.C.

Another theory going around...

There is a lot of speculation that with further use of the Geass, one becomes immortal, or maybe not further, but if they meet certain requirements, such as going to the World of C and finding out its secrets. C.C. did say that the Geass would isolate him, and becoming immortal does make one lonely in a strange way.

Hmmm...
Cornelia enRAB up disagreeing with Schneizel manipulating Nunnally into being a 2nd Massacre Princess. This prompts Schneizel to reveal his plan, to kill every last person using Fleija. He then kills Cornelia before she can get a chance to use her gun-blade.

Damnit, Schneizel.

I say Code Geass wins the strong women competition. Sumeragi was smart but Conerlia is just as smart and knows how to fight on foot and in a mecha. Plus, Conerlia doesn't have a drinking problem, points for her.

Even Sayako comes off as a strong women, she knows how to fight and isn't defined by her relationship to a lover.

And while we are at it, there haven't been many fanserivce episodes in R2 so it sounRAB like a whole lot of whining over nothing.

Fanservice episodes:

05: "Knight of RounRAB"

12: "Love Attack!"

Two episodes, two that had their own plot development within them. So whats all the whining about fanservice episodes over? R2 hasn't increase the fanserice episodes at all, I say at this point R1 had more.

Found some ratings if anyone's interested:
*2.6% | *1.4% | *1.5% | *2.5% | *2.1% | *1.2% | *0.8% | *1.7% | *0.5% | Code Geass Hangyaku no Lelouch R2 [Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2] (2008/04/13 Kantou)

*3.8% | *0.9% | *2.6% | *4.3% | *1.0% | *1.0% | *1.0% | *1.7% | *1.1% | Code Geass Hangyaku no Lelouch R2 [Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2] (2008/04/13 Kansai)

It just makes me wonder why this show was picked to give that time slot a boost then. I kinda fear it may end up getting canceled at this rate, it's getting even lower ratings than Ayakashi Ayashi.

Ah, by rewatching season one I've noticed that it was way back in episode 16 that Zero sent C.C. as an envoy to china. So it seems Zero has had plans for china for quite sometime and they are only now coming to fruition.

Wasn't talking about Mechs. In Seed you have two frienRAB divided on opposite sides that come together in the end. Lelouch and Suzaku uniting against Charles would be the same basic result. Geass definitely inherits that "frienRAB as enemies" angle, though thankfully their relationship has been very different. No "why do I have to be fighting?!" speeches going on. The journey is fundamentally different whether their conflict reaches the same destination as Seed's did or not. I think that is the most important thing.

There was a time when I was debating the point with others, actually.

well, goRAB imagination is prety big after all, he can make those three things and more, us mear mortals can make like one, if were special.

i agree we need a knew thread, all my favorite nurabers have already passed (page nurabers).

Hmmm. I am not so sure. Let's not forget about these "God's" they keep mentioning, they seem to be destructive.

And I think the Guren upgrade is needed specifically because well, it just is. If the OoTBK went at the KoR's now they probably wouldn't do so well, despite having capeable fighters, their Mechs need to be top-notch, so 1 way of compensating is with the Guren I suppose.

Edit:

Character Chart Updated: http://geass.jp/img/correlative.gif
Some things to note:
-Confirms Jeremiah's Loyalty
-Shirley Dead
-Milly uhm...gone.
-Kallen POW

I don't really mind the inconsistency. I mean, I think it is safe to say this will be the last Ashford episode, which actually makes me a little bit sad, because I have always loved the craziness they invoke, and they just make me laugh a lot. I don't know, I have just enjoyed the comedic episodes I guess. Plus, I love the gang at Ashford, so I suppose that doesn't hurt my opinions.

Plus, I think that they have shown when it comes down to it, they can show really amazing battles with awesome strategy, so I am not all that worried.

Edit: Oh and I haven't seent his yet, Full 2nd Opening for Code Geass R2 http://ru.youtube.com/watch?v=g3a7uQT3W1A

I for one, love it, to death.

Episode 6 is currently airing, so I'll give some tidbits about the first half.

Rolo comes onto the roof and uses his geass, managing to restrict it to just Suzaku and giving Lelouch time to explain everything to Nunnally without Suzaku noticing. Nunnally however is clearly quite saddened by it all.

Lloyd brings Guilford a present, his own Vincent.

Kaguya and the Empress of China have a chat.

The Emperor calls V.V. "big brother". (No, I'm going WTF just a much as you are.)

On to the second half.

Awesome aerial battles FTW. You know how the Guren was going to be upgraded from Nishiki to Kashoushiki? Well, it happened this episode. WHILE THE BATTLE WENT ON. And Kallen managed to kill the remaining 3 of the Glaston knights as well as destroy Guilford's Vincent (Guilford probably managed to eject and survive, though).

Lelouch manages to make it to Nunnally, but Nunnally just rejects him. Lelouch just gets down on his knees and cries.

Next Episode: Lelouch is rescued, but he cuts his ties to the Black Knights.
