Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

God, I love this anime. I really do. It's just so perfect. This episode was a blast and I love it to death. However if one more person gets a Geass, even I'm going to think that's too much

And you know when someone calls anything the United States of (insert country here) and its not America, s*** happens.

Did anyone notice in the opening song (that I love) when it shows Nunally crying, she is one minute in regular clothes and the next minute her outfit (and wheelchair) looks more imperial-like. Looks like the emperor wants his children to at least look good when kidnapping them

Oh and of course, Suzaku just became my most hated anime character (well not below Makoto from School Days TV but they're close)

No, forsook is the correct spelling.

And its used correctly in the sentence.

You whom time has forsook (as in time has abandon them in the past hence the use of the simple past form of forsaken, FORSOOK)

HAHA, my English is more powerful than yours. YES! OH GOD, YES!

Well, I propose tabling 00/Geass comparisons--perhaps I'll tackle some character review in the other thread.

BTW, for the record, it isn't that we're nitpicking Geass...there's so much potential that we'd like to see it realized. Geass has so many angles and characters that I sometimes worry if its going to furable them. If R2's second half were like the first, it would be a problem. There's really no room for more episode 12's. I LOVED episodes 13 and 14 and 15 was about standard for what would be considered a simply "good" or decent Geass episode. This is just what HC's talking about, the show's gotten a lot better now that there aren't so many elements going on at once. There's more focus than before, at least for now.

'
Except that the usage in the sentence is present perfect, which involves the use of have plus the past participle of the verb. The past participle of forsake is forsaken. Hence "You who time has forsaken," indicating that they were forsaken by time.

Simple past would be "You who time forsook," involving no use of the word have.

My English reigns supreme.

Just watched. First I gotta address the suzaku haters. According to the autopsy report Shirly was shot aswell as being gutted. It was made to look like she killed herself (though why would she stab AND shoot her self?!) and Suzaku thinks Lelouch made her do it. Yes we may find it strange for him to blame Lelouch but when to look at his track record as Zero as well as the fact he thinks lelouch made Euphy go on a rampage on purpose it makes sense. Yes him using Refrain in Kallen is wrong but, this is a man who's lost another person he cared for and he's tired of it. He wants to do anything to prevent anouther tragedy like this from happening.

Now the episode itself was fantastic. It was interesting Lelouch used some no name grunts to attack VV's base while leaving all of his commanders in the dark. It'll be interesting to see if theres any wedges divided in the group. Lets hope geass can keep this up all the way to the finale.

I'm going to hate myself for watching this series if there isn't some what of a happy/satifying/solid conclusion. I didn't turn into Code Geass to walk away with tears of anger because either everybody died or everybody wants to kill each other. Those aren't the type of shows I like to watch and if this is going to head in that direction I'm better of abanonding it now. I won't yet, but if nothing is resolved then "screw you, Code Geass. You suck."
You can bet your ass that if the ending is crap, I'll moan and moan until some body puts a sock in my mouth. >_>

I agree wholeheartedly. Then again, whenever a military anime messes up, I compare it to FMP. The one thing I was asking throughout Sigma Six was where Sosuke was. Not to mention that they did highlight characters and characterizations in a way that mattered. Geass does none of these things.

The Geass tried to take hold after she was shot. When Suzaku asked why she gave the order to kill the Japanese she was confused then the command activated again. She said something along the lines of "You're Japanese, aren't you, Suzaku?" but fought it off. It had probably weakened due to her physical state - and she could fight it since she loved him - but it was still there.
Bah.

While I'll grant you that Suzaku is far from innocent, you have to take into account the reason he is fighting those battles in Europe right now. To be able to rule Japan, he has to become Knight No. 1 and for him to ascend within the ranks of the Knights, he has to fight where he is told. He is still a soldier, even if he answers directly to the Emperor at this point. When trying to change things from within an organization, you still have to act as a meraber of it while you bring that change about. That is what Suzaku is currently working on.

Considering finding out the truth has been one of Lelouch's biggest motivations from the beginning, I'd be very surprised if it wasn't explained before the end. Schneizel apparently knows something, and we know Lelouch will have to face him eventually, so things will probably be revealed then.

It's been suggested before but right now I can see Lelouch getting another chance at the ruins and this time asking for 'A world where Nunally can be happy'. This creates a nauseatingly fairy tale ending, with most of the damage and death undone, 80% of the cast in sugary sweet pairings and other reset button fan wank.
