Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

True, and interestingly enough the effect seemed gone after she was shot. If the Geass' power were truly absolute, she would've been trying to strangle Suzaku even while she was dying.

If nothing else that's a good theory about LeLouch's mother; a Geass command would explain everything. I'd say that the Emperor is such a survival-of-the-fittest freak that at a minimum he simply enjoyed seeing the struggle play itself out. Early in the series LeLouch remarks that its because of his father that the nobility are constantly at each other's throats, and I wouldn't doubt that he enjoys the fact that a supposed "failure" like LeLouch turned out to have an edge to him after all.

Just Susaku thinks Lelouch doesn't prove anything. Who is to say, that part of the plan was something only Lelouch and C.C. were in on. That has always been Lelouch style, he only tells his helpers only what they need to know, not everything he knows.

Massive spoilers (two):

I'm warning you, these are big ones which will ruin the episode if you like to be surprised
Don't blame me if you regret this

I'll repeat what beat said here:

I think we can all agree with that whether you end up Fanboy/Girling over the show or not.

And the spoilers make me giddy like a school girl.

I think this episode throws out my theory that Kallen joins Susaku.

Didn't I say we were getting "evil" Lelouch this episode. Kill them all! Show no mercy, wipe everyone, man, women, and child out. After all, even the children can be geass users, don't hesitate and shoot first but don't bother to ask questions.

And a whole new show could be made around this character:

Marianne the Flash:

What?

Guys who seem macho manly and the like could just as easily be gay, and guys who are feminine could just as easily be straight, let's try not to classify people by how they act.

And I think Lloyd is crazy, not flaraboyant. And Sam hit the nail on the head, Lloyd could careless about women or men, he likes robots. The only female I could ever see him being in a relationship is with Lakshata, and that's because they are both mecha-obsessed.

Whoa, that got off of humorous crossover and got crappy pretty fast. Well, I really like the page 75 discussion.

So here's a thought, do we want a fresh thread for the second half of the season? This is already just about as long as the original discussion thread for Gundam 00's first season.

Juu-Kuchi made this thing so it's deferred to him, but I thought I would float the idea. Starting fresh might be a good thing.

Eh, I'm torn on this. For the longest time, Suzaku was sure that only by him dying would he be able to atone for his past sins. Lelouch's method, though, forces Suzaku to atone for his sins by living on; thus recognizing the value of his life, even if it is no longer truly his. He must live on to be a syrabol of hope for the rest of the world. And, essentially, he must do it alone. Yes, he has Nunnally and a few others who know the truth, but he'll never really be 'Suzaku Kururugi' again. That part of him was buried. Now he lives on in atonement and he accepted that. To me, that's a sad ending for him.Well, after what happened with Euphie, it wouldn't surprise me if he never wanted to love again.Even C.C. was crying during that scene, so she didn't seem to know either.

You know what the best Guilford flasrabroadack would be? If we find out he realized he was being tricked by Lelouch after being Geass'd so he gouged out his own eyes to prevent it.

Now that would be hardcore awesome.

I think Suzaku is too wrapped up in his own hypocrisy to truely listen to Lelouch. He screwed up by killing his father and Euphy was finally going to start fixing that situation. Then by accident Lelouch Geasses her, the whole thing goes haywire and Lelouch has to kill her to stop her. At the same time, there dies Suzaku's long sought after atonement and so he blames Lelouch. He basically dropped his emotional baggage on Euphy and now it's shifted to Lelouch. Suzaku is hiding behind alot of pomp and circumstance all to hide his own guilt. He'll stand there and lecture Lelouch but at least generally Lelouch admits his own mistakes. Suzaku just wants to hide behind the status quo in some feeble attempt to justify his past sins.

im sure the next time he and Kellen are in mortal corabat (cause i have a feeling she will escape somehow) and she wipes out more of his guys, hel be able to take comfort in the fact he dint sacrafice his morals for his job, and that he gave a dress.

Well...that seemed incredibly pointless to drag out. I wonder if they'll have some revelation on the show or if they'll just assume that we know Lelouch and the others know they're dead.
