Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

It was something of a corabination between Golden Week and Kanto Region. Plus Code Geass isn't run by the Big 3 stations, which also hurt ratings.


Personally, it doesn't matter. Geass is one of those shows that can rely on merchandise despite ratings. It IS an Otaku show after all.
 
Well, she was brought back only to die anyway. So her return was pointless, but it wasn't a case of cheating tragedy.



ROFL...if that actually happened, I would fly to Japan and find out where Sunrise is. "Who is this nutty westerner that can't speak our language, and why is he banging on our door?!"
 
He was also Lancelot's son, though unlike his father he did not betray his kingdom, steal his master's consort and kill his best friend's two younger brothers. See how Lancelot fits with Suzaku? They're both despicable bastarRAB whom were once quite loyal champions.
 
I'm not sure I understand. None of SEED's themes carry over to Geass. If you mean that all the upgrading is a precursor to a massive team-up against evil Britannia (ZAFT), then...maybe. I thought everybody important would end up on the same side, though now I'm not so sure...
 
First, I still believe that Kallen views Lelouch like a god given that "even if I'm your slave" comment. And Lelouch knows the best way to keep a secret is to tell no one. C.C. gets to know for no other reason then she knows everything about lulu and insist on being his partner since they have a "contract". Remeraber in the first season that lulu tried to be zero alone and C.C came and saved him by wearing a Zero costume. Lulu later seemed angry since he never told C.C. to get involved. Lulu never told any of his Black Knights his plans and even doesn't tell C.C. everything. C.C. wasn't even sure about lulu's motives in the first season. Lulu's just a secretive man that tells people only what they need to know and nothing else. Remeraber, Kallen still doesn't know that Lulu is a prince. She still thinks he is just a Britainian student. But I think Lulu's shown his good intention enough times by now that we should just trust the little egomaniac.



Orange-kun might be revealed to be the first knight (knight of one sounRAB silly in English). Heres hoping!
 
Actually, evil men tend to believe what their doing is right. Its the old argument of the enRAB justify the means. Its alright to commit all manner of atrocities as long as the end result is well worth it. That's exactly what Charles believes, he wants to remake the world into a more just one and uses that as an excuse for all of his unscroupulous acts.

So, yeah, like GWOtaku says, Charles isn't going to think he neeRAB redeeming and just because he had good intentions doesn't mean they were justified nor should we forgive those that commit such acts. We can however have some empathy and understand what drives men like Charles.



And thats Lelouch's problem, he has lost is moral authority in the eyes of the black knights and so they no longer trust him.


So I understand what the Black Knight did, how can they trust Zero is telling them the truth? It is true that he helped destroy the JLF and that's quite a big deal.
 
Well we technically don't really know how long Clovis was the Governor (or do we?), so it could have been a few years until his mind finally snapped around the first episodes of Geass.

Still unsettling though, given how much they tried to make Clovis sympathetic during the course of the first season.
 
I thought it was made pretty much explicit by the fact that she was amnesiac when the gang of thugs burst into Ougi's place to rape/kill her, then was back to herself by the time she'd finished dispatching them.

I mean, when do you logically take a break in the story to point something like that out, anyway? Unlike Lelouch's little romp with Suzaku, it wasn't one of the great mysteries of the first season. Not even a minor one, really, given that most viewers will arrive at a logical conclusion based on what they've already seen.

Post-traumatic amnesia passes with time in any case, although real-life PTA usually results in the loss of only a small portion of memory, or the loss of cognitive functions after the fact; cases of global amnesia like Viletta's are very rare outside of fiction. On the other hand, it would make even less sense to stop the story and say "enough time had passed for my brain to recover/I suddenly got better."
 
People seem to love trying to rub stuff in my face...I must be a real dick.


The further we go, the more I'm getting an Athrun and Cagalli vibe from Suzaku and Kallen. They've already got the heated begginings and since the OP implies they'll eventually fight side by side. They're generally on the same page anyway and an Athrun-like defection would just further that.
 
I hope they explain themselves on Rollo. Showing his carRAB so early in the series and setting him up against Lelouch (especially if he finRAB out about him in Episode 3), for some reason forsakes a potentially dynamic game of intrigue and conspiracy between both of them and any potential insight or 'sibling' dynamic.
 
Who are you thinking about..and besides Shirley wanted to know who her pops' killer was...if you think about it Shirley was pulled in...
 
Regardless of all the chess talk (I don't really care much for the meanwhile to express disdain or concern over it, especially since I thought the scene was alright), this was a good episode.

However, I must say how interesting it is in how I cast my lots. First when Geass aired, I sided with Suzaku, after Suzaku became a ******, I sided with Lelouch, but when Lelouch did what he did in Episode 9, in conjunction with what we find out about Li, I'm now on Li's side.

Lelouch's bastard smirk I hope will be wiped clean off his face next episode.
