Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

I don't disagree about the harem, but Sayako could be seen as a good thing. In season 1 she came off as some submissive Japanese servant, which was discomforting to me. At least the ninja thing, while invoking a what-the-hell reaction at first, makes her strong in her own right and nobody's doormat. And they're actually using her, so I guess if they can juggle her on top of the other characters then more power to them. And beyond the "OMG, ninja maid!" reaction, she so far hasn't been trotted out for fanservice. Of course, I don't give that costume of hers in OP 2 points for aesthetics. She's better off in the maid outfit.

Wow, yeah, that definitely sucks for fans. That's a good call on their part.

Oh wait, this also means fewer 00 season 2 spoilers later this year...I guess I'm both happy and having a "noooooo!" reaction over that one.

Not condoning anything, but just remeraber that Suzaku's been twisted by Euphemia's death. This conversation from when Suzaku calls LeLouch near the end of 23 last season is telling, after Suzaku learns about Zero and Geass from V.V.

To be fair though, the team-up between Lelouch and Suzaku came with a really big compromise that I found suitable. While Lelouch gained his friend back somewhat, all he has in terms of unique soldier strength is Suzaku and Jeremiah. The compromise was that his essentially hand-picked elite team that was the Black Knights are now lost to him, all their trust, their technology and their skill.

Personally I find this at the least a suitable status quo that doesn't scream overkill. Imagine if Suzaku still joined Lelouch when he was with the Black Knights. Now THAT would have been overkill to the nth degree with Kallen and Suzaku just literally raping the entire Britannian Armed Forces leading to a relatively one-sided battle. But in the end, better the current scenario than just a usual over-powered team-up to say the least.

It's a good theory but something like this should be explained. Do Sunrise think they can get away with unaddressed plot holes in regarRAB to amnesia and new personalities? *looks at Destiny* Why yes!

*looks at all of the comments*

Wow, if this is what Geass is getting on a relatively civilized board, I can't wait to read the comments on the ASrab after it premieres.

We're going to crucify you because listing to you squeal is so sweet. Super Sweet!

Though, I agree that its unrealistic that Susake could forgive lulu so fast. His lover was killed by him and she practically died in his arms. And her reputation is sullied by that massacre. That is not something you forgive easily, if ever.

The history has never really been talked about in the anime, I was just hoping that there was some supporting material out there about it. Territories have been conquered and uprisings have been put down under Charles' rule. The reason I ask is because I'm wondering if Charles is mostly responsible for the Empire's expansion, or if he basically inherited it and just decided to just continue the status quo and do nothing in favor of his nutty fantasy.

It is true Kallen is still not 100% trusted by Zero like CC is. But compared to last season, Kallen's making good progress. CC might be Zero's right hand, but Kallen is his left hand.

By no longer viewing Zero as a god, Kallen was able to stop putting him on a pedestal. The issue here, is that Lulu keep his plans secret not because he doesn't care about Kallen, but because he doesn't want others to share responsibility of the choices he made. If his plans messes up, Lulu would like to take the blame on his own. Lulu doesn't understand that Kallen has thrown her lot with him already, and want in as a partner the same way CC has become. Kallen want the responsibility of being Zero's confidant.

If Zero's a Warlock and C.C.'s a Witch, then Kallen want to be the Champion. Technically she is already in that position, but only physically. Lulu need to treat her like someone who watches out for him.

When you can't recognise established characters without text, you do have something of a problem. I mean, would anyone know just by looking that was supposed to be CC? And the scene with the Gurren developing comedy eyes looks more like it's just part of the standard mechanics.

There's a valuable lesson in this for the children. Grow up to be a pervert, and you'll be humiliated at Chess by kiRAB not even half your age and then get kicked in the face.
