Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

THE VOICES! CAN'T YOU HEAR THE VOICES!

Oh, she has the hots for you!

god, I love C.C.

You know you like it!

ROLLO IS EVIL!

I love the looks of shock at zero being alive.

And wheres Loyld. Don't we all want to see that lovable nerd again.

I didn't say it was a bad thing. I was just stating a fact, that is all. I like that there are no one dimentional villain.

What I said was a compliment to the show.

Season of Geass had at least some sense of reality. Yes, there were some examples of anime physics and such but ultimately things were realistic. We had an alternate history, some very realistic mecha and a young exiled prince who had his own reasons for wanting to bring down the tyranical empire. Geass abilities were probably the most whimsical thing in the story. Throwing a ninja maid into all that...why? That's the best response I can give.

I can hate fanservice when it seems Japan increasingly can't put out a show without it hiding in every available crevice. I'm male but I enjoy seeing strong female characters. Independently minded, able to stand alone and where handled well a good romance. Not generally useless, large chested hussies who are defined by their relationship to a male. Geass has fallen into that trap, especially now Lelouch has a harem.

So, hellcat was wrong. C.C. losing her memory wasn't all for fanservice. She did manage to give advice that her more cynical normal self would never give. And that advice had an immediate impact on Lelouch.

Sorry, hellcat. I had to go there.

Katsumara:

Oh, no problem. Ninja's using spears would be rather odd.

woul you have been happier if it was Suzaku......

me, well, i wanted Lelouch to end up with the girl who piloted the mech with that arm that blew stuff up, the one whose in the bunny suit a few posts up.

It's not that I'm against Suzaku getting development. But all season, after becoming one of the Knights, his entire motive was to become the head and then request rule of Japan. The actual organization and merabers were poorly utilised and now they don't even matter. They're just cannon fodder to show off the new overpowered Lancelot.

I think the problem is Geass has good concepts but no idea how to best balance them. I get the feeling the writers had a ton of ideas they wanted to use but figured just cramming them all in was better than leaving them obscure trivia in some fan book. It's a shame, because with better planning and less commercial pandering they'd have had something good.

But what do I know? Fangirls will still love it for the implied homosexual subtext.

You really don't know? A lot of the info is from the first season or can be found on wiki because it is just stating what is on the DVRAB. There is A LOT of extra backround info on the DVRAB.

Lulu's mother (Marianne Vi Britannia, aka Marianne the Flash) was a test pilot for the Ashford family as they developed the Knightmare Frames. She was an Ace among Aces and it was in large part her skill that convinced the emperor to adopt the new mecha technology. Her skill was so great that the emperor took her, a mere commoner, as a wife. That caused a lot of controversy as well as the rise in power that the Ashford family gained by having their star pilot be a queen. The rest is history......

Cornelia looked up to Marianne and was her bodyguard as we all know from the end of season 1.

Clovis while a rival to Lelouch but also saw him as a friend considering his paintings of Lelouch's family

Euphemia probably shared the crush Lelouch had on her when they were kiRAB. After all, Lelouch said she was probably his first love and Euphemia kept Zero's Identity a sercret all that time dispite him having killed Clovis.

Jeremiah, aka orange-kun:

Mostly likely the Knight of One seen in the OP is Jeremiah.

Schneizel El Britannia: he is the second to the throne with the first prince (Prince Odysseus) being the guy that was afraid to of the rebellion brewing in Japan as was visually releaved when Schneizel said he'd handle it himself. The Fisrt prince seems to be an older version of clovis. Not a serious threat to Lelouch.

Schneizel on the other hand is know for being the one of the few and the only person we know of that was able to beat Lelouch at chess. Lelouch does hold a grudge over that, we all know his pride is off the charts. And all this info on Schneizel is from Season 1.

That battle between the empire and the EU we see in I think episode 3 of R2 is most likely in Africa since Schneizel is leading the attack. And the success that "the white reaper" has is proof that Schneizel was right to allow and fund Lyold's Mecha Research.

Yea, I'm quite the Code Geass fanboy.

I see that he would feel deeply insulted that Lelouch would listen to Nunally and that for all he did to make his brother happy, his brother is taking orders from this 'nobody' per se about what to do with certain things, and that to see him bend to her is wrong. So in order for him to have Lelouch all to himself, he would try and kill Nunally so that it would forever be the case, but Lelouch will have none of it.

Absurd? You bet it is.
