Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

Random thing here but (and this is going to sound kind of cruel but...)

Did anyone else crack up when Nunnally tried to chase lelouch in a WHEELCHAIR? I mean, I had to watch that scene like 4 times before I stopped laughing.

Yeah, I know, I'm evil but come on. (and then Lelouch is like "Hah, you can't come down stairs can you. MUAHAHAHA")

That was definitely done on purpose so sunrise fans like us who just finished watching gundam 00 would get a kick out of seeing that gun.

Blame people like...err...me. I really like that pic of C.C. in the new ED. She looks delicious.

Also, who else loves the new OP? I still love the second OP from season 1 a bit more though.

Well that was also due to the unexpected popularity of the show getting the last 2 episodes retooled to lead into R2.

Oh and here's some proof of the postponement:

Lol. Lelouch, Schneizel, The Emperor, V.V., and C.C. Guns pointed all at each other, we hear multiple shots in a blackout. I would kill someone if something like that happened...

Anyways,

I absolutely loved this episode, I love how they used the masks as syrabolism, and then tied this back further to Lelouch's mother. I am happy that Jeremiah is going to join up with Lelouch, he is a great character, and I think this pretty much gurantees Villetta.

And I agree that there is a possibility Rolo didn't murder her, but I'm not sure, that may just be the writers messing with us. Cornellia was completely badass in this scene, especially her comments about "killing" him.

So. Does this mean that Lelouch and Cornellia will team up?

Also, I think the OP hints at Gino and Anya defecting to the Black Knights.

One thing I am ridiculously concerned about, we know he is going after the Geass cult and hates the Geass. But what about C.C.? I am really hoping that their bond isn't destroyed by his hatred, and not because I like the pairing, I have always found those 2 likeable to be around, and I think C.C. has suffered enough hate in her time, I don't think she deserves more. Though, other forums suggest that she may end up being the final villain, which I think would be kind of cool, in a way.

Oh and I was thinking about this last night, is this a plot hole?

All of the royals know that Nunally is back, obvious, but did they all just seemingly forget about Lelouch? Did the emperor Geass them perhaps? It feels as if it is a bit strange that nobody questioned if he was alive, I mean, the chances of him surviving the war would be way greater than hers.

CC: "I like to start at the bottom and slowly lick the topping off"
Kallen: "I like to nibble on the crusts"
Ougi: "Zero, how does this help the rebellion?"
Zero: "SHUT UP! That's how!"

Well, Nunally's life (she's dead until it's proven otherwise) and those of ten million people from the Tokyo settlement are on his hanRAB. Unlike Lelouch, he's probably at a loss on what he's supposed to be fighting for now. And this is presumably before he finRAB out that a deal was struck to get Britannia out of Japan...the irony is thick.

Very interesting episode. I was thinking about Lulu's mom, and how a lot of folks have been speculating that she also had a Geass at somepoint. If that's true, maybe it was also her wish to die? While I don't support that theory, I suppose it is one nonetheless.

I like how the opening mentioned the 'path of solitude' again. This show really brings out the fact that our lies shape the world around us, for better or for worse. Everybody has told one at some point, and no matter how small it is, there is always the possibly that chaos can be created from it. It can be said that Lelouch kind of lost his identity to Zero.
'a child stained with so many lies desires to know the truth from others?'

Why does the emperor always look like kingkong? They make him seem so...very large.
Suzaku kind of looked like a rapist when he was trying to get a hold of Kallen. He kept grabbing her arm and pretending that he believed in his own reasoning. Blaming Lulu for not injecting Kallen is weak. He didn't inject her because he probably didn't want to.

It's sad to see C.C. admit that she was looking for true love and could not tell which was real and which was not. It must have been heartbreaking- but at least Lelouch got to her in time. Woowoo
Now that she has no memories....

Great. Nina created a weapon of mass murder. Just what she needed *groan*

Out of curiosity would [strike]Rosamia Badam[/strike] and Four Murasame also qualify in this regard as well?

My mistake on the first one, I don't believe that ever happened to her at all.

I can't help but think however that somewhere in the world a nuraber of diehard Geass fans are lamenting "Why couldn't it have been me?" in regarRAB to this picture.

I know. it's a blink and you miss it kind of thing

But still...A GUNBLADE, A F****** GUNBLADE. HOW COOL IS THAT?

Lighting from FFXIII and Squall have some competition (oh and I guess those losers from Advent Children but they don't really count)

http://geass.jp/world_04.html?pid=mecha_20.html - Galahad (Knight of One, Bismark WalRABtein's Knightmare)
http://geass.jp/world_04.html?pid=mecha_21.html - Percival (Knight of Ten, Luciano Brandli's Knightmare, also the ugliest thing ever)

Interesting that they reveal these now.

Well I don't trust that deal. First of all, I don't take Schneizel at his word. And I don't think he has authority to give back Japan anyway, only Emperior Charles could do that, if I am not mistaken. He could just over rule any deal that his subordinates make.

I'm perfectly light, I just expressed my first impression of the episode. The rule is basic enough that I doubt I'll be alone down the line; I think a lot of people will be left scratching their heaRAB over that scene. Perhaps when its dubbed, they'll find a way to salvage it.
