Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

Yeah like the French attempt to take over Europe in the 1800's, or the Germany invasion of Europe in the 1930's wasn't because the leader had his own selfish interest at mind. That has happened througout history up to the current Iraq conflict, and the soulders go with the flow.

Problem is, it just makes me hate the secondary characters more. They're ignoring all these troubles and don't seem to care. The scenes just leave me feeling like they're there for Japanese fangirls "Tee hee, Rivalz is cute. Awww, Shirley and Lulu would make a cute couple!!". We already know how the Britannians see the Japanese. The only way these scenes can really start serving some worth is if the characters actually start changing their minRAB. Please, no more "So I heard 2000 11's just died....let's throw a Glad We're Not Them Pizza and Swimsuit Party!" I can't tolerate such people in real life, I don't have any interest in seeing it in a show.

Oh now you've done it. We need Sayako to have a mask now.

Isn't it spelt sayAko with an a? I'm confussed because I see her name with both an O and an A.

Rider is my favorite but shes not even in this anime so I pick....

Ninja Maid Sayako.

Yeah, I'm annoyed with the CG staff not knowing when to actually kill a character. Guilford didn't killed in the FREYA explosion. Getting hit by several bullets is apparently just a flesh wound. For all I know, Rolo could suddenly come back to life next episode.

And unless they're going to double the length of the finale, I don't think the next episode's going to be long enough to make a satisfying ending for the show.

Man, some people are cold blooded here.

Personally I think everybody will die except Milly and Rivalz, the latter of which has a Super Geass. Then after the credits roll Zorabie Euphie rises from her grave and kills them with her super assault rifle of death.

But okay okay. Let's try to be rather serious. Seriously. Here's my list of potential victims of dying and ideal ways that they will probably go... maybe.

Tohdoh - Killed in Corabat in a fashion fitting for a honourable person like him maybe leaving his love behind perhaps.
Anya - Same. Although she finRAB something that she'll be remerabered by or gives her cellphone to Suzaku or somebody to make sure she is not forgotten.
Gino - Killed perhaps in a scuffle against Suzaku or sacrifices himself for Suzaku after some revelation.
Nina - Maybe gets a face full of FLEIJA crafted by the Black Knights?
Schneizel - Blows up along with his ship maybe, or Lelouch Geasses him to kill himself.

I could go on but uh... yeah.

Lelouch: Now Nunally, I can get you away from Britannia and...
(gunshot is heard, Lelouch's blood is spilled from his leg)
Lelouch: Nun...Nunally...how...why?
Nunally: That's not good onii-sama, you were supposed to be on the floor by now. I'll correct that with THIS (gunshot to his other leg, Lelouch screams in pain)
Lelouch: Nun...al...ly (falls to the ground)
Nunally: (gets up and opens her eyes to Lelouch's horror)(speaks in much more demanding, non-frail tone) Did you really think that I was some fragile little girl? I've just been deceiving you this whole time. Now that you have conquered Brittania, I can take over the throne and rule the world. (maniacal laughter)
Lelouch: I...I...but?
Nunally: Oh, give my regarRAB to Euphie and Clovis when you see them in hell, Okay, onii-sama? (cute giggle and then shoots Lelouch in the head.)
Nunally:F****** loser.

Something like that perhaps?

Are you kidding me? Kallen's been praised by fanboys for her tsundere personality.

If you don't know what Tsundere means then here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsundere

Just look at season 2. Kallen personally says she'd follow zero like a slave. And she gets all soft when thinking or talking about Lelouch (classic Tsundere behavior for this "tough girl". She evens gets jealous of C.C for being trusted more by Lelouch to give the speech and not telling her.

Her dere dere is Delicious.

Interesting that this came up, as that theme is played up to such a degree in Geass that I once questioned whether LeLouch should be considered a hero or not. Short thread, but very thought-provoking and recommended if anyone here didn't see it last summer.

I'd say that while Geass isn't the first to cover this ground, it's possibly the best executor of the concept. Both LeLouch and Suzaku are that protagonist that challenges the viewer and their points of view and moral compasses couldn't be more different. I think that fundamentally, that's what draws a lot of fans to Geass. Frankly, I'd actually put LeLouch in front of Light. Light accepted the Death Note and went on a power trip right away, whereas LeLouch sturabled upon his gift and the viewer is witnessing a slow but sure decline into very questionable morality. One weekend I was introducing my older sister to 00 and Geass and it struck me how at much kinder and nicer he was then compared to how he was at season 1's end.

Going into season 2, whether LeLouch has any hope of reversing this moral decline and winning the world without losing his soul has to be a major unanswered question.

In contrast I think its harsh to tie in Shinn and Setsuna with LeLouch and Light, but that's a dissertation long enough to deserve its own thread.
