Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

And that made me realize something.... Where are all the commoner 11s really?

Yes there's Karin, Ougi, Todou, and all that. But a majority of them are either veterans, military heroes, or half-11/half-Britannian. Suzaku doesn't count because he was also of prestige, apart from being on the other side. But where is the regular commoner 11 who is swept up into the conflict. Yes that's grasping at straws based on conventional mecha formulas, but then again it loses a very human element to the show in terms of the real 'oppressed'.

*Pokes Avatar*

I really, really, like Xingke also though. He is just badass, I love how he uses a sword, and the fact that he can pilot a powerful Mech. And not to mention, he actually cares about his people, how many leaders in this show actually do that? Not many.

But Gino will perhaps always be my favorite...

OMG, your right. She does have a gunblade. I completely miss that.

Go rewatch the scene with her gun, pause it and look at the hilt. There seems to be a trigger on the sword. O.O

It's a possibility, but it may or may not happen the way one would expect.

I can see what you mean on the surface but the circumstances do change, so I don't find it inconsistent. Besides the Euphemia thing, which isn't easy to wave away (lots of events happened in between), during the end of season one Lelouch was planning on holding Cornelia hostage during his attack on Tokyo.

Since he was also going to attack the Tokyo settlement this time around, maybe he was thinking of doing something similar (not to mention that nobody was expecting the nuke, aside from Schneizel, technically). You could also argue he was keeping her around to control Guilford (though he could have killed her for that reason as well).

That's excellent news. I'm glad they're going to end the show and resolve things one way or the other, rather than allowing Geass' popularity to stretch out the plot too far. I expected as much in light of Milly moving on and Shirley dying, but it's nice to no longer have any doubts about it.

I was going to blame it on Seed, but then I remerabered that ZZ Gundam made Kamille Bidan all better again. Seems to me this has been something of a plague for years.

My own theory is still that Lelouch's mother chose to die. That theory has been increased given we now have the Geass cult. My bet- Charles inducted her into it and she gained a Geass which showed the future. But eventually through this she saw the evil the Cult would create and so determined to stop it. To silence her, an asassination was ordered. She foresaw this through her Geass but further that if she allowed it her son would reach a position best suited to stop the Cult. Thus, she sacraficed herself for the good of the world.
