Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

Yeah, I don't think Anya and Orange were a couple, just together...

SayokoxOrange is the way to go...lol...just kidding...kind of...

So, let's have a little fun.

-Pick a geass that was seen during the show.
-How would you use it, if you would at all?

Out of all the Geass' I think I'd like Lelouch's the best. I am not sure I'd enjoy Charles, re-writing memories is something Lelouch can do anyways, I wouldn't want to be loved by everyone like CC, Mao's would be good if you could eventually turn it off. Rolo's is also a contender, but the stress it puts on your heart is just to much. Bismark's was decent, but not the best. And I don't even really understand Marianne's geass, it was weird.

I think I'd try and take over the world if I had Lelouch's. Perhaps I am power hungry, but I think it'd be a fun test of my powers. I think I'd try and do it in a way where people didn't have to die though. Probably impossible.

Also, guesses on what V.V.'s geass was? I am thinking something to do with teleportation, or time.

Your confusing me Hell Cat! I thought you were being sarcastic about gundam and saying that Code Geass broke the mold...

But in infact you were being sarcastic about being sarcastic?!

Though I haven't Gundam 00 or Code Geass so that could be why I'm confused...

Shows like Geass are the worst definition of design by comittee. Geass season one was a suprise success and so the plot had to be stretched out. It had it's flaws but there were some very well done moments and cliche busters. In contrast, R2 has basically increased the negative elements to attract mass consumption. More fanservice, more useless characters, more angsty teen romance. Some of that I can accept are due to it's intended demographic, since despite what some will tell you I'm not one of those fans who think all anime is made for adults. It was made as a primarily teenage drama, hence the timeslot and merchandise. But that doesn't excuse it being a jurabled mess. The continual argument from some is "Well, it can't please everyone". That doesn't excuse the mess it is and is why I compare it to Destiny. Shows like Geass and Destiny are swimming in lowest denominator materal. Multiple pairings, mindless mecha, teen culture like shopping trips and cellphone obsessions, etc. The problem is, it conflicts with the actual story. In contrast, I enjoyed 00 because the elements flowed togethor well. We saw more elements of reality like politics and war, not the cast being dragged off on shopping trips and generally not the entire world view presented through the visor of a Japanese teenager. There are some wonderful elements in Geass, very fresh and intellectual. But so long as it's the latest pawn is mass merchandising it'll likely never realise them, since it will always return to the old standbys and familiar elements. Just like the mindless majority of most entertainment the world over.

Can't you feel the Yaoi love? Such a special bond between brother and young innocent tender....

Awwww, its clumsy Moe C.C. Don't you love her?

Gunsliger Boy, need I say more? (Oh, and Lulu is his fratello )

Yep, thats all you need to know about this eppy....

Loyalty doesn't necessarily lead to love.

I'd say she's committed to both, as she's gone out of her way to save Lelouch a few times. Also, if there were any sort of frienRABhip or alliance between her and Charles, she would never have been on the run from Britannia.

Yeah. Mao's "death" was way more convincing imo than Cornelia's. >.> If anything, we learn that characters in Geass don't die unless we see them personally take their last breath, or watch their suits explode/bodies disappear, lol.

Is anyone going to note that Cornelia had a freaking GUNBLADE?

I knew that Jeremiah had a reason for that eye thing than it just looking like the world's largest scouter. A Geass canceller eh? In the worRAB of Robot Chicken's M. Night Shaymalan "WHAT A TWIST!"

We can cross off the questions of "Does Shirley get her memories back?" and "Is Cornelia still alive?" on the list. (the other one was "Does Jeremiah live or not"

Remaining questions

-Rolo, WTF?
-What are C.C. and V.V?
-What is Geass (like an in-depth look)
-What was C.C.'s past and her real name?
-Does Lelouch end up with anybody?
-Will he or Suzaku (or both) die?
-What's the deal with Lelouch's mom and how is C.C. talking to her?
-The rest of the Knight of RounRAB.

And that's about it. A lot of questions to answer in about 12 or so more episodes. So I see either a third season or a half-hearted ending (or they could actually explain these things well.)

You could claim to be such if you're in a rather sordid amount of despair, which I suspect Suzaku is in.

I have a feeling that if the meeting had gone without any interruption, then maybe Suzaku would no longer cling to Euphie and his morals would be changed, but then again that's not the case now is it.

I think Kaguya really cared about Zero even with her playfullness so I'm not sure if it's a not wanting to show weakness by letting him see her crying or the fact that since he had broken thru the GCM (Geass Counter Measures), she didn't want to get geass'd.
