Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

I still want to know the circumstances of how Ougi and Villetta escaped Jagged Rock Junction...

But poor Ougi, he's Zero's most loyal Golden Retriever dog throughout the series but without his master all he can do is bark and possibly mate.

Brittannian Bob Barker: Help control the pet population. Have your 11s spayed or neutered.

I like FMP and all, but I don't really want to talk about it here. That's just me though.

Maybe if you're talking about R2, especially lately, I'd agree...but I liked most (not all) of the comedy bits in the first Geass season.

Also, the side materials (picture dramas, sound episodes) have some decent to actually good comedy in them. Don't know if you've checked those out or, who knows, if you just have a different opinion.

But then again, that last part is technically outside of the main series and could be judged separately...even if they're all supposedly canon.

As for Geass's writing...I agree it's been weaker in R2, perhaps because it's been trying to do too many different things while giving too little time to the really important parts, but upcoming events should pretty much force the show to either wrap up or sink.

Why? Rolo's crazy. Didn't you notice? The poor girl mention the one that can't be mention (Nunnally) and Rolo can't have anyone steal his spot a Lulu's little brother.

BINGO

Schniezel pretty much knew Zero was Lulu, or had Lulu's personality. If you're written as a superior brother character, what better way to show your smugness than to make his younger brother squirm?

We know Lulu's intellectual rival is Schniezel, but he wants to win HIS way, not Schniezel's. This is all pretty much a test on Lulu's pride.

Nothing wrong with a skeptical approach. It's just the application of high standarRAB at work. There's a tendency to focus on the positive, but we shouldn't be shy about opening our eyes to flaws. Sometimes criticism is just richly deserved. I mean, yeah, people--there's nothing clever or developed about Ougi/Villetta. There just isn't. There could have been, maybe, but they got no time and the whole thing comes off as rushed and cheap. Same for Jeremiah. Ten seconRAB of conversation and he breaks Anya's Geass and they're an item in the ending? What the hell. And they're just having fun with us with the whole thing about him picking oranges.

As long as I'm on this tangent, the Suzaku/Kallen debate seemed a bit old. Maybe some appreciate the return of that old season one rebellion vs. playing by the rules conflict, but considering all the role changes that had gone on it seemed just a tad out of place. On the other hand, maybe it's natural they'd rehash that old grudge.

At any rate, as said, I'm very open to continuing the line of discussion here.

Bondage is the least appealing form of fanservice, it isnt even hot, it sucks..... cant they just go with more accidents that make the hot girl conveniently fall on the protagonist or vice versa, those are awesome, not this bondage garbage.

aww man, i hate boring school life stuff.......... its boring, i was all happy when they left japan cause i was sure they wouldnt have to go to Ashford anymore..

Sooooo...was that parody funny or should I stick to what I know? It was basically a means to highlight all my little nitpicks & issues while having some fun with it.

And yeah, G was at least a better told story since it had a formula and stuck to it. No identity crisis, there. The Guren is still fantastic, though. It's totally a tribute to Domon's Gundams. If Kallen could be a consistently hot-blooded fighter, it would be perfect.

You must be bless to live in the land of common sense because I see such stupidity every day. Its what TV exist for.

Oh, I miss this somehow. Thank you very much.

I post this again, because comparsions of shows will lead to nothing but pointless defense of animes that don't need to be defended.

1st pic-Oh that's great now I'm going to be even more terrified of Kallen
2nd pic-Fangirl bait all the way
3rd pic-I came
4th pic-Is she hugging him or something?
5th pic-Okay, look Geass I love your show but soon I'm gonna have to start charging you guys for making me ruin all my pants (That shot of Viletta-sensei wasn't helping either)

And I was wondering when Nunnally was gonna show up. Annnnnnd cue the plot twist

Ten years later, Code Geass V:

"LELOUCH BRITANNIA COMMANRAB YOU: HATE THIS SHOW AND REGRET BUYING THE DVD'S FOR IT!"

(for the non-hardcore Gundam fans: Tomino said openly that he hates V Gundam)

well, im kind of satisfied with this ending, sure, most people who i wanted to die live happily ever after at the end, and Lelouch's fate is left arabiguous at the end (that guy who was driving CC just has to be Lelouch, however unlikely, just has to), and only like 4 people know what he did (that realy angers me), but at least it wasnt another cliffhanger, right?

And the scene where Suzaku came back as Zero to kill Lelouch was just awesome.

Nothing wrong with that at all. That said I hope I don't seem like I'm praising R2 blindly in that regard.

I do agree though with how questionable Jeremiah and Anya's ending was. However, I don't seem them as much of an item but more like a bunch of kindred spirits, both inadvertent victims to the intrigues of Charles, Marianne, and V.V. Shame though that it only happened in Episode 25 and not any earlier, and had more context in regarRAB to the kindred spirits dynamic that I like.

That, and I'm sure Suzaku liked the thought of LeLouch paying the price for everything he did. It's betrayal, but then Suzaku sees LeLouch as a traitor too.

Of course, LeLouch's deceptions screwed him too. If Karen hadn't been so shocked by his unmasking, she might've had the guts to rescue him.
