Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

Unless I'm mistaken her mother will be in jail for another 19 years, so there's nowhere to take it now. With Japan's liberation on indefinite hold, the ship does seem to have sailed on breaking her out of there unless the system enRAB up letting her out early.

Her family is an interesting point. Going by what school frienRAB like Milly and Rivalz seem to know, her rebellion is no secret anymore. Given that, I don't know that she has anywhere to go...I can't see her foster mother wanting anything to do with her now, and Kallen likely couldn't care less.

I wasn't expecting refrain to suddenly come up again in the "LeLouch is seriously depressed!" episode. Hopefully it stays in the past and won't come up again.

Gundam 00 had a pathetic storyline and I only watched it for the battles especially at the end. Their was a surprising amount of eppies that were boring and 00 has the 2 most useless gundam characters ever, saji and lousie. God, I hope they die.

Code Geass had a for more interesting storyline and its villains were not 100% stereotypical evil "childish" villains. The show had conflicted characters which presented neither side as being true heroes or villains. Plus, nearly every episode was packed with suspense and action. Never a dull moment (not even in the middle ).

Plus, FAR BETTER FANSERVICE.

So many hotties for both fanboys and fangirls. (The artwork is from clamp after all so this is no surprise). My avatar shows my favorite.

Not to mention my favorite quote from an anime thats in my sign is from code geass.

So much to look forward to.

1)Kallen in a bunny suit, oh god, does this show know how to do fanservice well.

2)CC in charge

3) Hearing once again, All Hail Britannia and Yes, my lord

4) Hearing zero/Lelouch give his great speeches; I'd follow him to hell and back

4) Hoping once again for the death of that traitor Suzaku. (sorry fangirls)

5) will Orange-kun return???

And most importantly, finding out if pizza hut still supports the rebellion. Will we get to see cheese-kun again?

Episode Titles:

1) The Day the Fiend Awakens

2)Japan Independence Plan

3)The Imprisoned Academy

4)The Scaffold of Counterattack

Guessing from the Titles, the season season is going to getting going as fast as the first season did. The episode
The Imprisoned Academy
has me the most intrigued.

Ah, your sarcasm will be fun this season.

I'm going to go out on a lirab and say that the world of C. is heaven (or a form of it, like purgatory), and that C.C. is an angel of sorts. That's the only way any of the supernatural material makes sense.

The show does seem to be heading towarRAB "kill 'em all". I'm not surprised, this is probably being done to prevent a sequel.

It's not really a positive message if it's meant the way some of us are assuming because it's saying "You must accept Japanese how they are but they won't do the same for you. At best, should you do good we'll just assume you developed the 'heart' of a Japanese instead of acknowledging a non-Japanese did good". Again, that's a message that a few shows have sadly conveyed.

No one is saying Japanese people are these steaming balls of racism. But one of the key themes of the show is how wrong it is to force your culture and beliefs on others at the expense of your own. This theme however possibly adRAB "NOTE- Japanese not included". I'd point out the role of national indentity has increased in R2. At the end of season 1, Lelouch happily admits he dangled independence in front of the people to spur the Japanese on as his army. Compare that to the second season where we're getting bastardly Suzaku, the traitor who joined Britannian vs noble Lelouch/Zero, the exiled Britiannian who found a new home in Japan.

Without that deception though, Lelouch's plan to destroy the Imperial throne and the old status quo would have failed. If the truth ever comes out, it can't be for a long time. Spilling everything up front would destabilize things and undo his work. Universal hatred of his feigned dictatorship was necessary for the world to finally get beyond the thuggish tyranny that was on display time and again in the series. As I've written, I don't think that a good ending for Lelouch necessitates most people seeing him as a paragon of virtue. Especially considering that, in many ways, he wasn't. In a way he did pull a Celestial Being, using human nature as a tool to advance his goals.

I have to question...

Does anybody seriously not realize that Nina is crazy? Aside from Lloyd, but her wanting to equip the Lancelot with her special borab can only mean bad things in the future...

I mean, it's obvious the borab will be used, otherwise they wouldn't have had her make it, but still...

Aaaaah, gotcha.

I could easily see Lelouch going off by himself with Nunally like that. It would certainly fit the Damocles mythology:

Said fear being, that is, the constant fear of the ruler or great man that he will be challenged and usurped. In Lelouch's case, there's also the fear of his designs being discovered and undone, which has happened several times. Therefore Lelouch, who has spent the series commanding and manipulating others, finally throws the mask away, both literally and figuratively. It would certainly be better than Lelouch winning and going on as an Emperor, theoretically doing whatever it takes to hold onto that power......

foolish, she obviously uses all that food to quickly heal from her otherwise fatal injuries, i bet as a male V.V probably eats entire hearRAB of cows for dinner.

Actually, Kaguya was find with C.C. and Kallen being close to Zero and she is frienRAB with the chinese empress so I think she will accept that Zero is a foreigner when and if she finRAB out.

"Warped" doesn't necessarily equate to "dangerous to those you love." Jeremiah is warped, but he and Lelouch managed to find common ground. On the other hand, it's becoming clear that Rolo is so obsessed with being Lelouch's brother that he feels threatened if Lelouch gets close to anybody else.

How you going to keep 4 or 5 kiRAB still, how many more were in there anyway? And Lelouch is going to play that dangerous game while hunting down V.V. No way. I say shoot first and feel bad....never.

The Emperor

Two episodes in a row Suzaku's been likeable. Consider me happy I had to laugh a little at Lelouch wanting his prize if he won the chess match to be Suzaku to give to Kaguya. What is he, a pet?

Milly's dress notwithstanding, it was kinda cool to see Suzaku, Milly, Kallen, and Nina (and Lelouch) in the same room again. It's amazing how things have changed. Nina, though she told Milly she's changed, is still quite insane. Euphie is her goddess? Creepy.

Speaking of Kallen, despite her fanservice-y outfit, I thought the scene where she fell on top of Lelouch was kinda cute. And then C.C. kills the moment by looking for Tabasco sauce. Classic.

My initial opinion of Li Xingke has changed. I really didn't think him trustworthy, but his background with the Empress was great. And my heart about broke when she was calling out for him with her pinky in the air.

I'm not happy with Lelouch at the moment, though. Granted, his entrance was pretty sweet, but pointing a gun to the Empress' head and then laughing about it? Bah.

I would cry, and then start quickly planning for the apocalypse. On that same note I don't yet think the analogy of Geass Season 1 to R2 is the same as Destiny to Seed. They would really have to start screwing up to make that true. I think GWO said it best with his Euphy coming back to life line. Until we start using the 'Surprise! I'm not really dead!' plot device, we shouldn't need to worry all to much.
