Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

I wasn't trying to insinuate any miracles (personally I thought Jeremiah's doing would already be implied). Except Jeremiah perhaps does this as one last request to Lelouch before dying off or something, but we don't see the effects of his Geass Canceller until that final epilogue.

Well, at least we can't fault Geass for fan pandering in terms of story at times (ie doing the things we people WANT to see happen). And while Suzaku may be an incredible ******, in some sense Lelouch kindof had that kick waiting for him.

My issue here is whenever I bring up the racism issue, you respond with "Crazy old HC is at it again!". I'm sorry, there is a very troubling commentary on Japan vs the rest of the world in Geass and I know I'm not alone in this view. In fact, the people who feel that way generally tend to be big on the idea of tolerance and harmony. We're just at the start of season 2 so it may prove to massively improve on this issue but even right off the bat there's a ridiculous amount of poor, widdle Japan getting beat up by nasty foreigners.

About Rollo's abilities...

As odd as it may sound, his Geass may grant him the power of transportation. Possibly more likely, it forces an illusion on you that slows down your perception of time, making him appear to be much faster than he actually is. I'm not sure, but I'm assuming every Geass ability affects the mind in some way. What's strange about that though is that his speed was happening while he was inside that mech, and I thought eye contact was necessary.

Whatever the case, this video is apparently taken from a PSP Geass video game. Here, Rollo's Geass is on display in a rather violent fashion. Interpret it how you will, I'm personally a bit confused. Being the genius that he is, I'm hoping LeLouch will figure out Rollo's Geass in the third episode.

I love how you posted that 5 seconRAB after I edited my previous post to comment about how good he looks there. XD [And I don't usually like him either, especially with Nina always floating around his feet.] I mean, if the men who follows this show can get their share of panty-shots, the least they can do if give the rest of the fanbase something to gush over.

I feel bad for Ougi and Villetta. Geass + Romance= ERROR

Darkmirage: “Lelouch, am I doing it right?”

Barely legal

What exactly is shirley doing?

BRABM Code Geass style

If you couldn't tell, I love this episode. Its like it was made just for pervy fanboys like me.

I suppose CC is lucky she wasn't involved

"NOOO, my hiney! Now fanboys will never notice me again!!"

*two otaku watch*
"Hey, didn't there used to be a hot girl in this show? She was called...Hi-C, I think"
"No no, she was called MC Hammer"
"That's not it...CNN, maybe?"

The writers of this series are monkeys.

somehow, Sayoko (you know, Lelouch/Nunally's maid?) is posing as Lelouch in Ashford. And she looks exactly like Lelouch.

Pardon me, but I meant no one in show seemingly understood his motives. If you read my posts on the matter, you'd see I did understand them personally.

My suspicions...

Lelouch's identity will be revealed by whoever's in this delegation in turn 20, alienating him from the Order of Black Knights. What else would lead to an "Emperor disqualification"? It sounRAB like he might actually be driven away, though obviously he won't be a man without a cause for very long.

In turn 21 Ragnarok will cause immense damage, finally causing Suzaku to snap. I believe that he will finally turn against Britannia in this episode, challenging the Knight of One to a fight to the death.

In short...this could be awesome.

I wasn't expecting an ending that hit as hard as this did.

The second season and the production as a whole had their problems, but can I honestly say it wasn't entertaining the whole way through? I think not. Besides, whatever they did wrong along the way, the ending made up for it all. I'm not concerned about possible loose enRAB; I'm sure the bonus materials will tie up whatever's left.

I'm not going to wrestle with whether or not Lelouch survived, either.
That's the sort of arabiguous conclusion I can deal with.

I never said that it was impossible to have a positive message in a Japanese anime. I'm just juxtaposing the ideal faderal I'm observing in the show with what I see in reality.

First, I've never personally attacked you for stating your opinion. Please don't make this personal. If you feel offend by an anime then don't watch it. I sure wouldn't watch a racist show. But I guess you see more in code geass than the "racism".

Well, I've asked before with no answer, how can an Anime do a story on rebellion and oppression without Japan being the oppressed? Would it matter if Code Geass was about a racist Tokyo city state oppressing the rest of Japan?

For as many times I've seen people claim an anime is racist, I've seen animes that blow Tokyo up. Does that mean the Japanese hate themselves or are suicidal or are pessimistic about their future? Just because animes have the Japanese fighting foreign oppression doesn't mean those animes have a racist message. Or I'm out on my own here? Does everyone think code geass has a racist message?

Its like claiming command and conquer red alert 2 is racist against Russian because the Russians are depicted as the villains invading America.

You know I was expected something bigger at the end of the episode after all the talk about how the 3 minutes uploaded spoiled some big ending. I didn't really see anything that huge to be honest. I was expecting someone to die like Lelouch kill Rolo or something.

The one thing I think Lelouch is overlooking is that the implanted memories make Shirley seem more normal then she was after he mindwiped his existence from her memories.

Taken too far, it is a terrible vice. Terrible. It can be used to justify prejudice and paranoia, or be it used as a rallying cry to be better or to make it through hard times. From my point of view, people can't love and understand others without loving and understanding who they are. I think it's very possible to erabrace one's nationality and culture while respecting others.

There are times where passionate patriotism is a necessary unifying factor and has a place, and the Geass scenario is absolutely one of those times. It's a different sort of pride that says "this is who we are, we are proud of who we are, and we won't submit" as opposed to the Britannian pride that says "this is who we are, we are better than you, and you will submit." It's the same distinction that exists between the German nationalism of the WWII era and the patriotism of the British and the Russians and Americans in response to aggression. No one would confuse the two.

The art was a little strange this episode...
Weird to hear Suzaku open up...then blame it all on the geass again. Although, the way he spoke to Nina was pretty awesome. He was pissed, and all she can do is stand there like she had noooo idea what the weapon was capable of. Obviously a woman of science isn't blind to the effects of a borab. She knew, she just didn't want to accept.

The Anya & CC part was quite odd. Marianne was so friendly with her- I didn't expect. it. Lelouch must not have inherited her bubbly side. >_>
Back to the topic of Suzaku really quick, I can't believe he's still going on with that crucifixion crap. Nothing is lower than thinking that death is the only way to atone for ones sins [at least in this type of situation]. Maybe that old school 'team up' is still a slight possibility, even though he's acting like a cold jerk. Then again, he mentioned 'Lelouch and Nunally's despair' which I was surprised to hear come out of his mouth

Schneizel is a sneaky bastard

I'm still angry about the use [or lack there of] of Guilford. What a waste of character and [maybe?] romantic buildup. Even if he didn't have those type of feelings for Cornelia, he didn't even see her face before he died. Yeah you can use the argument that this show 'doesn't spare anybody' but I'd rather not bring that kind of thing up.

Yes Diethard, Ougi IS unfit. He's still too droolydroolyVilleta to rule in politics.
Xingkeeeee
