Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

As long as we're scrutinizing Suzaku, its worth asking what will happen to the world if Britannia is defeated. What kind of ruler would LeLouch be? Can he defeat his father without becoming too much like him? Will he literally destroy the Empire or take it over?

This isn't a foregone conclusion. We know he hates injustice and the way the strong oppress the weak, but so far his movement is entirely about defeating Britannia. He said himself that he doesn't care who anyone is or what they believe as long as they share that goal. We've yet to see how LeLouch will do and what principles he will live by once liberation actually happens.

So effectively, you only care about the situations and not the characters they happen to. In that case, you don't need a show. They could just put the story into some condensed text form and you'd get what you're asking for.

Actually I read Milly does get some focus this episode (in more ways then one if you know what I mean ). Also, its going to be a perfect episode to do a parody since Milly and Lelouch apparently get into a little mind battle like Zero does with his opponents.

And I agree, the old Cornelia did have a more regal look because back then she was in charge. Most likely she dressed up to make herself look older so she would have a more commanding presence. She is not in command anymore and is more of a rouge agent nowadays so her looks have reverted to their natural state. Its like the difference between a model coved in expensive makeup and when she wears nothing. A hot model will still be hot but the same person can look so different you'd think they were someone else.

Rewatched the scene about 20 times before I was done laughing.

Then when she sat down and started talking in "dominatrix mode" was when I...uh...you know what, never mind

Yeah, see, that's why I think the final Suzaku/Lelouch confrontation will end in tragedy. Its sad, considering how close they once were as frienRAB.

Wow, watching the episode now.

Susaku blantly tells nina that her borab was a success.

Face the truth, nina, you wanted to kill as many japanese with borab as you could, you racist *bleep*.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but it caught my attention that V.V. didn't appear to actually be caught by chains, but rather they go around him/her/whatever. And the one who appeared to be the most constrained by them was Suzaku. The more I look at the various pictures the more I really think I'm digging where there isn't anything

But my thinking is along the lines of the chains as a representation of how much the characters are tangled up in the political machinations. Lelouch only has them around his wrist because he is an impetus for the various events while Suzaku is in more of a reactionary position as he has interests on both sides of the conflict and is thus more tangled. The Emperor and V.V. appear in the chains but not tangled or even touched by them, as if they are a part of the loop but are not constrained by it due to their positions.

Digging too much? Perhaps, but it's fun to think about.

As am I. But at the same time i cannot help but feel relatively irked at the situation on hand in regarRAB to R2 after initial observations and all that. Once again, maybe it's just what I see during the preliminary screencaps that do not technically speak for the entirety of the show that's perhaps causing my questionable stance and disposition.

I'll shut up now and just wait until I actually watch the episode. No use making myself look more like a fool than I already am to some people based on previous posts in the Geass thread.

Actually, if there were a battle between Kallen and Suzaku, a real one, it would indeed be epic, but I think that Suzaku would come out ahead.

He and Viletta have been largely ignored. However Jeremiah's back in two weeks and I think the episode after that was called "Geass Hunting," so just maybe...

Emperor Lelouch? Wait, what? It seems we know the aftermath of the battle of Tokyo, Japan becomes a neutral state. It makes me wonder whats going to happen to Nunnally. At least it seems rolo is going to die soon.

Kallen's Cleavage Canyon will probably be part of the official Geass theme park. Don't forget Euphie's Petting Zoo, CC's Pizza Hut outlet and Lulu's Crazy Chess.

That'd be nice, though I'm hoping that Jeremiah will live long enough to nullify Charles' Geass before that. No need for a miracle to heal her when the method is already there.

I think the whole thing was syrabolism for CC and Lulu's relationship. First you have him yelling and hitting her in much the same fashion that she was treated during her life. Her cut was on her left ring finger, syrabolizing her whole "never knowing true love" thing. The whole "are you cold?" "maybe I am" then CC putting her hand on his. Lelouch of course comes along and puts a bandaid on it, which leaRAB back to Lelouch's whole promise to make her smile.
