Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

^^First of all, if you've ever seen TFS' Dragonball Z abridged, you'll know why I think that the generic narrator should be called Dan Green.

That is some awesome stuff. I loved the Seed references, even the small ones (I will defeat you, here and now. Priceless)

PRODUCT PLACEMENT RULES

A new character is suppose to appear next week so its possible that its a different girl with purple hair. Cornelia looks, how do you say? More mature than that girl (can't call a girl old after all ).

That was not a victory scream. Lulu was pissed off that his revenge seem to be far too easy which made his revenge seem hollow to him. Hence his scream of frustration.

I agree, it doesn't always have to end in a blood bath. I would be happy if there was a happy ending, no matter how it happened.

But I could understand why people would feel ripped off. You follow a series for 49 episodes, only to have it all undone.

Odd, I never really found FMP that great, oddly enough I don't find Gundam 00 to be anything but OK. But hey, I'm one of the weird ones which doesn't care for Rurouni Kenshin.

Nice to see someone else that enjoys the school comedy episodes, Lelouch. I was feeling lonely.

Eh, I don't really care for the new OP. It sounRAB more like an OP for Eureka seven.

I still prefer op2 from season 2 (the one everone hates, why do I always have to love what people hate ):

If you think that'll stop, I think you should give up. It's each person's opinion, as much as one may disagree (or only partially agree, in my case).

Agreed, though I would have much preferred if the first half of R2 had done a considerably better job of getting to the point we're at now.

12 didn't really have development. It was 18 minutes of comedy followed by Milly moving on at the end. 10% development isn't a good ratio.

They're on a good streak certainly, here's hoping it continues.

/anticipates Lelouch vs Suzaku
/wonders when the Siegfried will show up

I'm giving 90% odRAB that I'm wrong, but I'm going to be skeptical until it happens. I simply don't want to get my hopes up. If it's true, they're going to fill in the gap. There's no way it's just going to be thrown out there and go completely unexplained.

As for how--clearly, a ninja did it!

Alternatively...

What if Rolo was lying after all? That, or another Geass is responsible.

Incidentally, now that Lelouch knows the truth about Nunally, couldn't Jeremiah's Geass canceler restore her ability to see and walk? When he restored Shirley's memory it was from behind, which suggests that eye contact is not necessary for it to work.

Wow.

The good: Kallen is back and being awesome. Woohoo!

The bad: Everything else

Not that the episode sucks, just that this is...BAD. It does seem like everyone in the diet building is dead, barring some kind of miracle. Lelouch being unable to contact Sayako makes me very afraid. Asahina is definitely gone, as is Nunally's stupid handler.

Lelouch is being set up for a hell of a fall. So far as he knows his reason for fighting is gone, and I have a nasty feeling that Todoh is going to turn against him now in light of this new information he's getting. Hence the "betrayal" episode title next week, perhaps...ominous. I suppose it could also mean Rolo's betrayal, I don't know. Going by the preview Lelouch is obviously going to take it all out on him, and he probably won't take it well.

The Guren did feel a bit overpowered in this episode. I hope they don't overuse the speed. I'd like to see action, not a beam of light shooting around the battlefield everywhere. The extending arm was kind of cool, but seems kinda silly. Logically speaking, there's nothing stopping somebody from chopping off the hand while the wire is left exposed like that. The original hand was fine. It was kind of nice seeing Lancelot get trashed though, considering how it's been untouchable for so long.

There's probably no way Cornelia sides with the Black Knights now. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that this battle basically wiped out the Glaston Knights.

Possible plot hole: Did Anya die in the blast? If not that's quite a feat of luck, considering that the last time we saw her she was having another seizure. She can't be gone though since her mystery isn't solved yet.

It was a good action episode, I just have a really bad feeling about this. I do hope there's a dawn coming, I really do.

Grade: B+

Too much confusion about the ratings, so here's some specific information to rectify some rumors or misunderstandings.

Code Geass R2

-01: 3.0%
-02: 2.6%
-03: 2.8%
-04: 1.4%
-05: 5.2% or so (reportedly, waiting for confirmation)

This is all in Kantou, btw.

As you can see, there is no "0.2" anywhere, and the only ridiculously low rating was the one for Turn 4.

It's still disappointing for its time slot, but it's actually better than what the first season of Code Geass had at a late night one.

One also has to consider that the programming block was moved from Saturday to Sunday, and that change may be part of the problem after all. Perhaps the show would have performed better without that change, but there's no way to know.

In any case, Code Geass has been very successful through the DVRAB and merchandising, so even mediocre ratings won't lead to cancellation.

Then you should probably get over it quick, because people like voicing their opinions. They have every right to complain as you do to gush.
