Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

All I have to say is wow, that might be one of the best if not the best anime series finale i've ever watched. I didn't think they'd be able to make an awesome ending in 20 minutes but they did. Wow is all I got to say. Very awesome. I will miss Geass, I would hope for some ova's or movie but story is ended well and probably shouldn't be messed with.

Oh, yeah, I know you were not talking about the mecha. Still, the point stanRAB that this isn't just another seed. For one we do not have a crybaby kira. Also, this is more focused on Lelouch's own personal suffering. Things just keep going from bad to worst for him. The "why do I have to be fighting" speechs are gone because the two main character have much stronger reasons to be fighting that are routed in their past which makes Lulu's and Susaku's characters have much more depth.

Next episode is titled betrayal. Sort of a bad omen, no?

And I do love how Kallen gave the vampire knight a taste of his own medicine. Mock him about only his life being precious to him before killing him. For such a short lived character he was actually kind of a cool villian.

I rate this a 10/10, 5 stars, A+

Its action packed from start to finish, Kallen returns in style, and it enRAB literally with a bang.

Anyone else get the feeling that Anya is a clone of Lulu's mother just like Rei Ayanami from EVA. Ok, so its just a crazy thought...

Yeah, the books (which are pretty much being rendered worthless canonically due to the TV series beginning to pop up) laid out a pretty detailed outlook of the Empire (or the Remnant, depending on what era you're reading)'s zenophobia.

"I'm Charles Vi Britannia, the Emperor of the Britannian Empire, and I'm here to say that the world is lying. All food IS NOT EQUAL! That's why after a day of iron-fisted tyranny, I like to relax with the stuffed crust. Delicious toppings on the outside, gooey cheese on the inside to satisfy imperial-sized hunger. The Pizza Hut stuffed crust. Because if it's not eaten by me, you know it's inferior!"

Meanwhile...

Zero: No one is ever ordering the stuffed crust again. EVER.
C.C. Whaaa?
Ogi: But, Zero, why--
Zero: BECAUSE SHUT UP, THAT'S WHY!

From Suzaku's perspective, armed resistance can't succeed and is the greater evil even if it could. Not saying that's correct, but that's the worldview he's operating from...obviously the problem with that is that you can't exactly rally a conquered people around beating their oppressors by lying down and accepting the loss of their national identity for however many years it takes to reform the system from the inside. Its not for nothing that the Japanese look on him with the disdain that they do.

Pretty good episode. I admit it made up for a lot of lackluster episodes we've had lately.

As for how Lelouch reacted... he actually went a bit more extreme. Before Shirley's death, he'd never think to raid a research facility with unarmed people. He'd probably use them as C.C. said, but to massacre them like this? Clearly Shirley's death is getting to him in a major way, as it should. It shows just how human Lelouch really is (as compared to Light who...wait. What's humanity?)

The Cornelia/Lelouch team-up was badass. D: I was like "ZOMG DIE V.V. DIE!" Haha. I loved it. The part where Jeremiah saved her was awesome as well.

As far as VilettaxOugi goes... crossing my fingers for it to work out. I just hope Sayako doesn't come out of no where and kill Ougi for his betrayal, or kill Viletta just because. I don't think Ougi is betraying Lelouch though. I just think he's confused as to why he'd hear from Viletta in that way. I guess he had to know he'd hear from her some time with her aiding Lelouch at the school, but eh. I feel bad for them both. D: If only Viletta hadn't recovered her memories. I still think there are some deep seeded feelings there in Viletta for poor old Ougi. Granted Viletta shot Ougi and all, but she didn't kill him like she could have. I'm a real VilettaxOugi fan, so if I can't get LuluxShirley, at least give me this. =[

Aaaanyway. /rarabling. Long story short: I'm glad the story finally took a turn for the better. It was painful watching Geass R2 as of late.

Err, I'm a Touchy person.

Oh, boy, I think the same comments have been made every episode for the entire Season. Thats what bugs me. Can we talk about the episode and what we think will happen in the future. And not constantly about the flaws of Code Geass. Every show has problems, we don't need to be constantly reminded of it every episode.

Suzaku: "They've all betrayed me..but not you, my beloved Princess. Right?"
Pineapple: "..................."
Suzaku: "YOU AS WELL?! ARRRGGHHH!"
*he strikes the pineapple in his anger...juice seeps out*
Suzaku: "Oh God...what have I done?! I'VE BECOME LELOUCH!!"
*He craddles the pineapple, sobbing* "You were too beautiful for this world..."

Lol. Thanks for pointing out the obvious :P!

Lelouch also doesn't know about the 'GoRAB' and what his father is planning, C.C. hasn't mentioned that to him. I guess he will find out next episode, assuming it isn't ALL backstory on C.C., which I wouldn't mind, but I'd like a little insight on the GoRAB also.

But V.V.'s comments in 14 having me think the 'GoRAB' are things all Humans do, like lie, as Charles said all humans do.

she should have died last season, since she actualy did something in that season it would've been meaningful, this season she was just......... there. Why'd they bring her back again?

Well, I watched it. Nothing to much happen except a lot of setting up for the final Tokyo show down.

Oh, and Orange-kun contacts Guilford. What will Guilford do if he learns that Cornelia is alive and captured by zero? I do hope we get to see Cornelia fight once again.

And what about this Valkyrie unit? Is that an all female mecha unit. I hope we see the pilots.

What if Anya is really Lelouch's mom. Ok, it doesn't work but it would be a crazy revelation that no one would see coming.
