Rebellious Goth characters who got on your nervs..

I don't mind goths or goth characters, in reason. Genuine folks who just happen to be goths are fine (I've met some who prove this), but the stereotype or poser ones who insist on being called 'Darkson, Lord of the Necrotounge'...no, please bugger off.

I think character wise, people are too hard on so called 'goth' or 'emo' characters. I've lost track of the number of characters who are given valid reasons to be quiet or withdrawn or heavily cynical etc and all some viewers can offer is 'Suck it up, you big baby! If I was in your position, blah blah blah'. That to me speaks of close minded people because alot of these characters are reflections of reality.

No, I thought it could be a silly, but interesting discussion. Stop bringing drama into this thread, and grow up.
As to the other sam manson white knights, guys, she is a cartoon character. And I stated this was meant to be a silly topic and not to be taken seriously... same with you raven.

really guys, you are the reason I can't stand danny phantom fans. Not all of them, but a good majority.

also to the "manson" question... I thought that same thing too at first haha, but I read somewhere it's a name the character came up with. The "manson" comes from the "man" in "samantha"
if that made any sense at all...

Rebellious goth characters don't get on my nerves. well none have so far. I usually am either indifferent to them or think they have a few flaws or like them, just with any other normal character. Chloe Crashman is one of my favorite of their variety because she has character. Hmm the types of their variety i don't like as much are the Gwen/Creepie Creacher type, who are gothic aesthetically but are mentally just another normal ordinary girl who just happens to be different. Miss Crashman on the other hand is a more worthy type for she is not only gothic in image but in lifestyle, and is... an actively gothic individual in that she takes part in rituals, summons the dark spirits etc etc This is the best type of their variety imo. What's the point of making a character gothic if they are just like everyone else except for what music and fashion they like? Also in some cases i find classification difficult for some characters as to whether they are indeed gothic or not, such as Ingrid Third who i feel is more a Darian type than a Crashmanic type.

This definitely is the case since said cancellation brought in new writers to replace the old, but Season Three also did a good job keeping Danny's maturity (a key staple of his character) as well as wrapping up most loose ends, but poor writing is still poor writing.

The reasonably capable Danny suddenly sports dumb moments whenever Sam plays the role of exposition, lecturer, and all-around knowledgeable character that instantly makes her better then him. For that matter, her increasing role that overshadowed Tucker. It's annoying because all the "nagging" she did was seen as much of a flaw as it was her rational minded thinking. To see Danny's growth demoted because he's towered over by Sam's "I'm right" speech and not doing anything but obey her like a good little [spineless] boy just ramped up her Canon Sue status for me. I didn't care for her at the beginning, but she at least had flaws to counter her pros. By the end, that was barely a registered train of thought.
