Rear tire wining , driving me nuts????

On my 02 Classic I'm getting a bad tire wine.Sounds like something rubbing but its all clear and strait.

The tire starts to make a enoing wine at 60 MPH .No vibration I can tell.
Tire is a Harley Davidson Dunlop D402 MT90B16 M/C 74H.

Any ideas would be much apreciated.

Is you belt properly tightened and wheel lined up? Just hasking hey. I did have a 402 that whined a bit after a while when it started cupping...
 
Tire pressure was down around 25 LBS in the back so I upped it to 40 as per manual.
Still wining so I would agree that its the belt. I pulled the clutch in on the hiway several times and it really seems to be the belt.

I have a service manual ordered for this bike. All I have are softail manuals.
Anyone give me a quick how to on adjusting this belt.
I just picked the bike up a feew weeks ago.

Ive been out of the loop for 7 year recooping from a bad accident so my memory also sucks right now.

Although I use to build all my own bikes I have lost so much, and I have alot to learn about the twin cams Especially this Classic

Pulling in your clutch isn't gonna keep the belt from moving. All it's gonna do is disengage the clutch.

Now, did you notice the "whining" stopped after you put 16 more lbs of air pressure in the tire prior to playing with the clutch?

I would think if the belt is out of adjustment it would start making noise prior to 60 mph. JMHO.

Check to make sure your tire is aligned properly too. Hopefully it isn't rubbing against anything. Check the sidewall for signs of rubbing.
