So I was wondering, if I got into a fight, such as, someone was messing with me and started to attack me, defending myself, I apply the Rear Naked Choke to put them to sleep, yes, you cut off the carotid arteries, but what happens if It was an intent to just disable the person from attacking me, but I accidentally kill the person? I've watched online on how to do it but for self defense, in the heat of a fight, if I applied the RNC and accidentally killed him, would it be man slaughter or murder or something like that? Seriously, I don't wanna risk trying some kinda of Kimura or Arm bar or something to break anything, but to literally put them to sleep only to stop.
The question is, if applying the RNC the wrong way in self defense against an attacker, would I still be convicted of the crime?
