Trailered the bike to the stealer today when the rear wheel was removed half the ball bearings were missing the bearing outside casing seperated and spun in the rear wheel chewing up wheel hub bearing mount boss, long story short new wheel, bearings, brake rotor & pads have to be replaced glad I'm stll covered under warranty what sucks is I'm being told it'll take 7-10 days before the parts come in.

Still, even if your out of the use of the bike, You made it home, your bike is in the hospital and your not and anyone that can find the source of wierd noises coming from a Harley without being stuck on a highway somewhere in the dark of night has my vote.
Great Catch PROVIDER7...

Make that three. I just posted a sad (for me) story about the drive pulley bearing crapping out during the last few miles/feet of a week long ride.

Somethin ain't right.

I think this is what happened to me. I took the bike in to change the rear tire and the shop told me my race exploded and bearings were all over the ground when they pulled the axle. I took it around the corner to the dealership I purchased the bike from and they hope to have me squared away sometime next week. Looks like the failure was the bearings/race (not sure if I'm using the right terminology here) that hold the pulley tight is what failed. I may be out about $200, but hopefully that's all it is...

BTW, this is an 08 Road Glide with less than 11,000 miles that I purchased late 08...
