Really need your thoughts

I was washing my hands at work,and when I went to throw the towel away I saw what I think was dried blood on the lid of the garbage can. I used the towel to open the lid, but was still freaked out and washed my hands again, and noticed a small knick on my hand. It wasn't or bleeding, but it did burn when I put my hand sanitzer on. Is there any chance I could be at risk of catching anything if my skin did touch whatever was on that lid? Hepatitis? The next day the knick seemed all closed up, and hardly noticable.I need some advice to put my mind at ease or to know if I should get some blood tests. Please, please,please help.
 
Since you used the towel to open the lid, it doesn't sound like you had direct contact with any dry blood. You did good with washing your hands again, good thinking.

As you open the lid with the towel and wash your hands properly, there is no chance of any infection. But, than also if you have doubt then feel free to consult a doctor and get rid your doubt.:cool:
