really/kinds hard math problem. need help!?

so there was this math question that i kind of don't understand at some parts. i can only get up to one part in solve the problem and then i have no clue what to do next. The question was given by my math teacher to my class and no one had a clue on how to solve it, but part of the problem is that my math teacher is clear at all. so please help me and if you would provide steps along with your answer, i would appreciate that alot and thanks in advance.
