Really Bad Movie Titles

Tim Robbins has actually said that himself - and it's what I was thinking when I saw the thread title :) He said people just couldn't remember it and it was only because of word of mouth that the film is now regarded as a classic.

Still, at least they shortened it from the title of the short story it's based on which is 'Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption'. :)

O has got to be up there as one of the worst movie titles ever. I tried to search for this dvd on various online stores but it was an absolute nightmare as the pages and pages of search results always included OTHER movies that I wasn't even trying to find. eg- "The O.C"
Seriously, they could have chosen to call the movie Othello or something else but they chose the worst title ever.

Final Destination, because there is never a final destination, we have 1 2 and 3 comes out next year. How many more final destinations are there going to be?.

It, why the hell is it called IT? by stephen king, while the clowns original name was Pennywise, stupid.

Home Alone - i think its a bad title because the kid isnt home alone really, he has those two burglas in his house trying to get him.

Zoolander

I agree with that one. I love that film. I can never understand why it is considered to be the Coen's worst. Its probably my favourite of all their films that I have seen. More people should see it. Its about time it was discovered. Lets get some word of mouth going. EVERYONE SEE THE HURABUCKER PROXY. There. Sorted.

IT....(could of been alittle more specific...lol)
THE BLOB...(I swear when I first heard this I thought it was about something else...lol..certainly not a horror film...lol)
Angela's Ashes (could they have made it anymore depressing??...lol)

When you said bad movie titles, the first one that popped into my head was.............

The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon MarigolRAB

Hard to top that one! :p

Ooh fantastic, that takes some beating.

Not so much terrible per se as just annoying, there is always

What the #$*! Do We (K)now!?

Which, incidentally, must have about the highest ratio of either 1 or 10 votes on the IMDb. Not much middle ground there it seems...
