Readers: What is something that one of your favorite authors have done that annoyed you?

For me, it was in Nicholas Sparks' book A Bend In The Road.

2 of the big characters in the story are named Miles and Missy. They both started with "Mi" and when I would be reading quickly, I'd often get them confused. This really bugged me.
