It starts out with the main character. She goes to Louisiana where she kills a man out of self defense. She ends up in prison. While trying to escape she ends up saving the wardens daughter from drowning... Out of gratitude the warden lets her free. From there she becomes a thief. She gets hired to steal jewels and paintings. Then she falls in love with her competition. It's funny how I can remember the whole plot but not the name or author... If anyone could please help me find the name of this book I would REALLY appreciate it. Thanx!
