Read the fucking manual and stop looking like a moron.

"another thing?"

you haven't pointed out the first thing. it seems pointless to 'warn' someone when you're being absolutely unclear as to what the 'warning' is about to begin with. i mean, -you- know what you're talking about, but -i- most certainly don't until you identify it for me.

the one you made here about flaming the kid when he was talking about people not knowing shit about computers

thats a flame

i gave you one warning even if you unflamed yourself lol

alright :)

i am kind of crabby so forgive me if i sound like a bitch

yeah; i will agree i was harsh, but you have to begin by forgiving me: i haven't really figured out yet where on these forums it's only ok to disagree vs where it's ok to all-out attack people. you have to remember that while i'm loud, i'm also very new here so i have to get acquainted with things.

also, i was in a crabby mood when i posted that, too. it's killing me applying for jobs everywhere, running an educational facility, AND going to grad school. :(

i know how you feel: i'm stressed out as well, and with moving in with my girlfriend next month and all, it's just looking to get deeper and thicker and less restful yet.

lol girlie.

oh, and kitana:

I probably should have read that, shouldn't I?

ahahah you got me on this one. the 'rules' is pinned to the top of every forum, it looks like. i should have read it, eh?

well you gotta realize i was sitting here going "is this barely-21 girl picking on me to show power, or is there a reason?!?" having read your posts, i found myself tending to believe the latter, so i sought evidence that i was right; and lo, i was!

Why don't we just make up and forget this, morelos?

Also...you are right about the Windows x86 hardware compatibility...But I am quite intrigued as to how you acquired a 6800U reference board...tell me more.

That is pretty fucking cool, to have a prototype in your possession. I forgot the 6800U did not launch yet...still a good chip, but Nvidia seems to be losing ground to ATI in terms of hardware...but ATI's software sucks. My 9600XT has shit drivers. OpenGL has fucking white lines that appear to be part of the wireframe model...they appear in Quake3 and Half-Life based engines...Odd considering the guts of both engines were made by Carmack (Yes, I know HL runs off an improved Quake engine). Carmack makes great engines, so I'm pretty sure ATI is at fault. I'm running the Catalyst Omega 4.5 drivers and I still think they suck ass...ATI should get better coders.

stager - it's very nice having friends in the company. i worked there as a contractor for a number of months waaaaaay back in the day (back before the Slot A Athlon 600MHz came out, for example, and one of the folks there was just BEAMING with happiness that he scored one plus mobo for his son). i guess that makes it like 2000 or so?

anyway, i have found that the nvidia hardware more than meets my needs. i'm not claiming it's better or worse than anything (except the gf3 i replaced with it -- and that wasn't a bad card either), but that it's pretty new. strangely, i have been biased against the radeon line since it first came out. this is probably because an old friend swore to me it was "just better" when at the time it was not.

i think part of ATIs software inadequacy deal is that nvidia really does live in the right place to have access; ati moved out to the silicon valley more recently. it's ironic: i live about 15 minutes north of the 'silicon valley' in a town called Hayward. regardless, nvidia has been buying the right coders for some time, and their drivers purposely limit the performance of their current-gen hardware.

and carmack is a genius; probably before your time this punk kid i know won his ferrari in a doom tournament. thresh was his handle. now he runs a startup that's surviving. but remember, carmack had a great team around him working on their games; it's not ever just one person.

lol, same here....I know how to shread one down and build it back but I don't know much yet on what I'm taking apart

my friend though works as a laptop/serve-technician/manager at this school...he's 19 like I am and he runs the schools server and manages all their computer needs...he's uber smart on this stuff and built his own computer pretty much from what ur saying but this guy knows how to work with anything electronic.....hope I can get that far within a year or so
