read before you roam!

If you are going out of the area be sure to set your phone to automatic. I know it seems like common sense, but some us prefer not to roam in our home markets and turn off roaming when in a basement or in a mall for ex. I left the area sun. and had no bars, I turned my roaming to automatic but the signal didn't come thru when i needed it to and would switch between home and roam. So make sure roaming is on before you leave! :buddies:

I took this one step further, I set up NAM2 with my same phone# and did *228 while using NAM2. It loaded the roam PRL into the NAM2 slot while keeping my local PRL in the NAM1 slot. Now if I leave the local area I just switch to NAM2 (can be done without reboot, real cool  ) and I'm able to roam. Saves on battery when local and signal is weak, NAM1 won't hunt for a better signal.

yep it provides a good option for roaming and all that jazz. plus since cricket has call forward now, you could forward your call to the pre-pay nuraber when you are traveling.

ya i do this too when i go off roaming....... basically there are some phones that you can make more than 2 profiles at a time..... on my RZr i have NAM1 under verizon easypay and NAM2 on cricket.... this actually works when i go out of town
