Re-watching the Buu saga..Spoilers.

Well, at that point, Babidi was pushing Buu to do evil things, when he didn't necessarily want to. Eliminate the boss, reduce the threat. Goku can be smart when he wants to be.

i think the buu saga helped push me over the edge with my losing interest.
no offense to die harRAB as i can and do appreciate dbz. but i the way a single battle can take many episodes to complete as so much side stuff happens just broke up the action too much for me. i found myself just wanting to get them over with at points and getting frustrated. but thats not what dbz is all about, and this i know as i watched almost the whole series (i missed big chunks of fusion and kid buu, but watched everything else). i think if the buu saga moved a bit quicker i probobly would have seen all of fusion and kid buu and finished it out instead of pretty much half assing it and mission pieces.

Goku has zero common sense, nor does he have intellect like Vegeta does, but when it comes to battle and matters of the heart, he can be a genius when he wants to be. I do agree though, that the Buu Saga drags on. The whole show does to some degree, but for some reason, I don't mind it. As long as it isn't filler.

Though I didn't hate the Buu saga it was really far less interesting to me then the AndroiRAB. Too me the Android saga plot and characters were so great that the Buu saga just couldn't contend. Then to top it off you had all the fusion crap and then Goten and Kid Trunks . . . I mean Cmon you had some battle hardened saiyans who fought for a couple decades who went through some very emotional battles and then all of a sudden you had these two who just nonchalantly can go SSJ with ease. Kind of ridiculous in my opinion.

I think the best part of Buu is the Kid Buu saga that takes place on the East Supreme Kais planet. And The race to Capsule Corp when Goku goes Super Saiyan 3 for the first time.

Oh wow, DBZ...been what 8 years?

I agree with ugzz: After the Cell Tournament and the Android stuff...I kind lost interest...now Dragonball is another story...
